Warm and caring staff in the Maasai Mara

We stayed at Mara Maisha Camp during our safari in the Maasai Mara and were especially impressed by the friendliness of the entire team. Everyone was incredibly attentive and always eager to help – at times almost more attentive than we were used to. We always felt that the staff genuinely cared about their guests.
The camp itself was very clean and well maintained, and we also enjoyed the lovely pool area.
Food was another highlight. There was a great variety, with local dishes as well as plenty of options suited to a European palate. In the evening there was even pizza, and the room service was excellent. As we do not eat meat, the team even arranged fish for us every evening although it was not normally part of the menu. That extra effort meant a lot to us and made us feel very well looked after. We never felt that anything was missing.
During our stay, there was an unexpected incident that was not caused by the camp. The cooperation and communication with the management afterwards were very good, professional and supportive, which we greatly appreciated.
Overall, Mara Maisha was a comfortable and welcoming base for exploring the Maasai Mara, and the warmth of the people working there is something we will definitely remember.

Amazing comfort and exceptional hospitality at Mara Maisha Camp

This camp with luxury tent-like accommodation is located close to Masai Mara and offers amazing hospitality. We received a warm welcome on entering the camp and were guided to our accommodation. The location is truly picturesque. The rooms are very large and very clean. The air cooler provided in the room, which is needed during the hot afternoons, was unfortunately not working. Wifi in the room was fairly fast. Cecilia was the staff assigned to us in the dining hall on all 4 days of our stay ; she was very courteous, attentive, helpful and made our stay a very pleasant one. The breakfast and dinner buffet was very impressive with many vegetarian preparations, which were quite flavorful, and kept us happy and contented! We were truly amazed by their wonderful and courteous guest service overall. The only sore point was with Victor at the cash counter, who was very rude and refused to print our boarding passes at the time of check out saying that this was not permitted. Overall, we would strongly recommend this comfortable and cheerful camp, surrounded by beautiful bush land for a very pleasant stay while in Mara.

A Truly Exceptional Stay at Maisha Mara Camp

Our experience at Maisha Mara Camp was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were received with such warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home — not forgetting the beautiful ostrich that added such a unique and charming touch to the experience.
The camp itself is beautifully set within a serene and breathtaking environment that perfectly captures the magic of the Mara. The rooms were impeccably clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully prepared, offering both luxury and tranquillity in the heart of nature.
The food was outstanding — fresh, delicious, plentiful, and exceptionally well prepared throughout our stay. Every meal felt intentional and memorable. Special kudos to Head Chef Peter — the Ossobuco is still on my mind. Truly exceptional culinary execution.
What truly stood out, however, was the ambience and scenery. The sunset was simply unforgettable. Watching the golden skies stretch across the Mara was a life-changing experience and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful views I have ever witnessed.
Maisha Mara Camp delivers an exceptional balance of comfort, hospitality, and authentic safari charm. I genuinely look forward to bringing my clientele to experience this remarkable destination for themselves.

Great Camp in keeping with Nature and the Masai Mara.

This is absolutely the best safari camp and value for money. From the entrance, to the welcoming staff with a hot or cold towel, to the attention to details in everything they do, I cannot recommend this place enough. We spent 3 nights/4 days and did a number of memorable game drives. This camp is a short distance from the Masai Mara gate entrance so it only takes 15 mins to get there. The property is super clean, has WiFi throughout, buffet style meals with nothing missing, wonderful amenties (hot shower, spacious tents/rooms) and great staff. Cyndy - our guest relations was super personable and made the stay that much more pleasurable for us. They remember when you are going out for game drives, so they can clean your room when you are out. They know when you will be back, so they can turn down your room and put a hot water bottle in your bed. They will pack breakfast or lunch for you so you can have a longer game drive with your own travel company. It is a very authentic property in keeping with nature. So, please don't expect posh amenties - it is not intended to be that. You are one with nature with WiFi, hot showers, great food and staff. You can hear the Hyenas at night (far away don't worry) and hear the birds early in the morning. Truly magical place.
