Manager should be flexible.
We sincerely believe the owners / investors of Moti Pearl Hotel have done a terrific job to construct this beautiful property for interested clients in the central business district of Isiolo town. And we believe they can get more clients once they ensure the issues we observed / listed below are addressed and resolved.
We were a group of five and stayed for one night - we would have stayed for two or three nights but the manager dissappointed us.
a) Reception: Though courteous and professional, they did not have delegated authority to take action to facilitate clients request unless authorized by the manager. The manager was not in his office / duty at the time of our arrival and our attempts to contact him proved cumbersome and even when we eventually got through, he was not very cooperative nor keen on making slight changes to ensure client comfort - we were very sad and almost left but since dark was first approaching we decided to stay for one night only.
We had booked 1 x double and 1 x triple rooms. However, we dound our that they do not have triple but we were not informed during the time of booking. And the manager refused to instert 1 x additional bed to create a triple for our kids. Due to late check-in, we were forced to take 3 x doubles - this was very unpleasant for our kids.
b) Baggage Handling: The receptionist was very nice - he assisted us with this task and we tipped him out of our own accord.
c) Room: The room was all right with basic amenities and attached bathroom.
d) Breakfast was all right but very basic but we survived.
f) Location: EXTREMELY NOISY from 5 am to 10 pm in comparison to e.g. Saala hotel.
g) We were happy Moti Pearl takes credit card or mpesa for payment.
