Still a good hotel after 40 years

I really like this hotel. Its location, its grounds, its pleasant staff come to mind. The room I stayed in recently was clean and quiet, the mosquito net was in good shape, and the breakfast was fine, with many choices. A bit more about the grounds: They are a large expanse of green space in a city without all that much of it. A few tables and chairs are set out in shady areas, and there are a couple of plastic slides, etc., for the watoto. You can eat lunch on the veranda that overlooks the grounds, or out on the grass itself. This seems like a great place to spend a leisurely weekend afternoon. A few negatives: the Wi-Fi seems fragile and not particularly strong, but at least they have it. The stairwell is dark and perhaps dangerous. It could use better lighting. If I were ownership I'd worry about a lawsuit from a fall. The lack of hot water in the bathroom sink was a disappointment, and the shower also never got very hot. Also, in my room the bathroom door didn't latch. But I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel has a big area, but it’s pretty old. Room setup, bathrooms etc is old school. Ordered grilled chicken for dinner, it was super hard - where the staff said that’s how it’s supposed to be. Flush in the room was not working until pumped, hot water issues. Nice place to chill at the garden though.

Second visit

Stayed at this hotel again, breakfast buffet chooce was very good ,the rooms were clean and tidy.
Had to change room because toilet didnt flush,but phoned reception and was moved straigh away,so all was good ,located in centre of town and close to most bars and restaurants.l would stay here again.
I would recommend a stay here to people.

The Hotel is ok to good, the staff certainly raise the level. Rooms could certainly do with a refresh, the bathroom is straight out of the 80’s but kept clean. Bedroom windows wouldn't lock, and had gaps that let a lot of noise through.
Food was good and varied enough.
Overall a pleasant enough stay

Nice pleasant hotel

Booked a deluxe room from Dec 29th to 3rd January, the stay was pleasant, the staff friendly and helpful, the room, well that was an experience, no hot water after 9am as they turned it off,why ,I don't understand, so that alone, be very prepared to arise early from the bed,now the breakfast was a good choice of buffet with hot and cold foods, juices and fruits, on the other hand, the restaurant at night, the service was really slow, and, it can make you get fed up,eat out instead, new years eve celebrations were really nice ,and I would stay again..
