Good value for money

Very spacious room, big bed, huge bathroom. Clean although not new and there was some rust in the shower. Very good price. Located near the local market and Independence monument. Good breakfast buffet with additional hot dishes like eggs or soup.

Almost very good but....

Location of the hotel is in front of one of the bazar and we liked it. There are tons of mashrutkas at the door step so it is quite easy to go around. Ken Baba Park is 15min walking distance. The Junior Suite was of course a good deal compared to the fares in Western Europe however the hotel in general lacks of service. Light in the corridor didn't work. Mattress is very firm but we like it like that. No toiletries except a tiny soap. AC not working properly and with 33 degrees C outside believe me you can't do without. Also no housekeeping during our stay. Shower a bit sketchy and leaking. Bathroom can be smelly so better to keep the fan on for a while. Wifi on and off, not reliable. Breakfast is served down stairs. No breakfast buffet but a few brioches and jam. The waiter brought us eggs and soups but we had to go so sent them back to the kitchen. I wish he told us that something was coming. There was no Karaoke going on during our stay so we had good nights sleep. All in all quite nice for the price but would be good if some of the things got fixed. Staff does not speak english but we still managed with our broken Russian.

Noisy - karaoke sound will haunt you till dawn!

Stayed in the hotel 2 nights from March 20 to March 22 (checkout). There is a karaoke bar in the hotel and it was open up to 5 am! It was too noisy and even when we forced administrator to transfer us to a more remote from karaoke so called deluxe room, it was still noisy, we could not get sleep! Breakfasts are below average, rooms are ok in terms of cleanliness although. Location of the hotel is not convinient. Staff - alhough there was one reasonable manager, most of the time receiptionists were good for nothing. When we tried to follow in early morning for taxi to airport that we had requested a night before, the receiptionist girl was quite rude at us. No wifi in rooms, payment by bank cards is not possible at all. In fact, i selected this hotel based on 7+ rating at Booking.com, seems like it was all fraud now..

Good choice in Shymkent

We had no reservation and just dropped by this hotel. The lady at the reception would not speak any english but there was some english speaking staff around. The room was big, clean and quiet. The wifi was fast, the breakfast rather average. Good price for what you get. It seems to be mainly a business hotel.

In Shimkent

Very lovely hotel rooms. Good price too.
Food in the restaurant was not too good. There was not a wide variety, For example, they did not have chicken and fish. My breakfast was cold.
Location opposite market not too attractive.
But staff very friendly and friendly. Used mobile phones to translate English-Russian. That was creative.
