L’établissement Yodoya se situe à Toyooka, à respectivement 14 km et 15 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : North Disaster Earthquake Monument et Kehi Shrine. Nice ryokan & handy for sea kayaking
We didn't know how to go about booking the hotel and got the help of a lovely Japanese girl who is from Takeno via Facebook. If you want to book in English I'd recommend trying to contact the Takeno tourist information or contacting the Kinosaki town page on Facebook.
The hotel was small and nice. Nothing fancy but nice traditional rooms with toilet in room. It was very quiet when we stayed (actually July 2015) with only one other group.
Only one member of staff spoke a little English but we were in remote Japanese town so can't complain about that! There was a man who spoke no English but we got by with hand signals and drawing pictures!
We braved our first public bath experience here, which we enjoyed and were happy that the hotel was so quiet we had the room to ourself!
We didn't have dinner at the hotel but had breakfast in the dining room. This was Japanese style with fish, rice etc. It also came with an egg which was raw...We had been given a hard boiled egg at our hotel the day before so my boyfriend smashed it off the table to peel it before realising it was raw!
In the morning we got all packed up and headed for the beach to do sea kayaking. We asked to leave our suitcases at the hotel and they said no and told us to take them to the beach with us which we thought was bizarre and rude...However after the sea kayaking, a local lady was set to give us a lift to the train station (a very long walk) so this must have been why they insisted!
We really felt like the people in the town looked after us. We didn't see anyone else who wasn't Japanese and a few school children shouted 'Hello!' to us in English so I think we were a novelty!
The sea kayaking was fun too & we're happy to be able to say that we stepped foot in the Sea of Japan!

すごくゆっくりできました
海もすぐ近くで、歩いて1分くらいです。
なんせ海が綺麗で圧倒されましたが、民宿の便利さ、お風呂、何と言っても、、料理が海の幸でゆっくり部屋でいただきました、
カブトムシを養殖しているらしく、タイミングが合えば、プレゼントしていただきました。子供も大喜びでした。
冬はカニ料理がメインということなので、また行ってみたいです。

海岸までは歩いてすぐ
なのでお風呂は貸切でした 料理は食べきれないくらいの量でボリューム満点 女性だと食べきれないくらいかも 部屋は清潔でしたが眺望はなし 隣の家が見えるだけでした

ほっと出来る宿
まだ営業していらっしゃるとは！(失礼！)
先日両親と、私たち家族で一泊させて頂きました。
古ぼけた民宿になっているのかなぁと思っていたんですが、
建物は改装・増築されて、玄関の位置も変わり(昔は確かシャワールームの前？の海に向いた玄関だったと思います)、お部屋も綺麗で快適でした。
お料理も楽しめましたし、フロントの方もスタッフの方々も皆さんとても親切でした。
海まで続く細道もとても懐かしかく、昔も今も変わらず本当に綺麗な海でした。
幼い頃に来たこの場所に、子供を連れて来れて良かったです。
来年もまた利用したいです。
