Wonderful lunch

Went here for lunch and ate in the beautiful polished wood dining room. We asked in advance for them to make the meal vegetarian and they did so with great attention to detail down to the replacement of skipjack (katsuo) broth (dashi) with a seaweed-based broth. Lovely kaiseki food and wonderful service.

Great little hotel with wonderful service!

Petit Hotel C'est La Vie was a great choice for a single night stay in Nagatoro when we headed there to see the Fall colors. Nagatoro has an area of town with a maple tree forest (garden?) that is illuminated during the season, and the hotel staff drove several couples over there so that we did not have to worry about parking and traffic. On the reservation web-site, that shows up as one of their "plans", like "Fall illumination drive plan" or "Chichibu wine plan", etc., although the staff was accommodating and gave us a half-bottle of "sample" wine even though we had signed up for the former plan. The staff provided excellent service with our bags and advice on the local area (probably best if you can speak Japanese...). The hotel itself is only seven rooms, with a general European theme to the decor. Bathing is a big thing in Japan, and the hotel rooms each have their own special bath (rotemburo); ours was outside on the patio (although there is a regular shower/bath combo inside), with a high enough wall that we would not be seen from below. Also, there is an outside rotemburo that is detached from the hotel that you can reserve. Very nice Japanese style rock and tree garden surrounding the bath with a tall wall for lots of privacy. The hotel is on the edge of a funky cabin campground (cabins appear to have been train cars in a previous life), and in the entrance of the campground is a very handy footbridge that goes across the Arakawa river to Nagatoro town. The food at dinner and breakfast was Japanese with a somewhat European presentation; very healthy with lots of vegetables, fruit, nuts, fish, tofu, and a little bit of tasty pork. As an appertif, they gave us the choice of several different sakes from Northern Japan. All in all, this hotel made for a rather relaxing trip.

リピーターが多い宿

民宿のようなイメージを抱いてましたが、こじんまりとしたプチホテルで、部屋でくつろげるように配慮されており、コーヒーを豆からひき、美味しくいただきました。
何よりも食事が野菜中心で油を使っていないので、胃に優しいです。若い人にはきっと物足りないと思いますが、近頃このようにすべて手作りを提供する宿が少ないので、人気の理由かもしれません。

訪問者の心を鷲掴み

ホテルは小さいでしたが、アンティーク家具や小物でセンス良く落ち着いていてのんびりリフレッシュできる素敵な所でした。
お食事も地元のお野菜中心で上品なお味で
器もオーナー選りすぐり✨
お部屋にはお茶も何種類があり、冷蔵庫には冷やしたお茶がピッチャーに❗️感激です✨器も可愛くて女性の心を鷲掴みです。
お風呂は竹林を背景にのんびり長湯ができて
あ〜〜本当に本当に素敵なホテルでした✨
また是非行きたいと思います

のんびり過ごすことが出来ました

埼玉県の秩父。恥ずかしながらどんなところか全く知らずほとんど下調べもせず向かいました。幸運にも天気は快晴で、電車移動だったため変わりゆく景色を眺めながらなんてステキな所なんだろうと感動しました。
温かみのある接客、行き届いた気配り素敵な時間を過ごす事が出来ました。
