After the climb, we went to the Saiko hotel.

After climbing Kurumayama with my climbing friends, I was taken care of after two days and one night.
【Good points】
◯They smoothly responded to the change in the reservation time of the shuttle bus at Kurumayama Kogen Ski Resort
◯ Friendly Foreign Staff

◯ I especially like motsuni on delicious buffet 45 minutes
【Points to be improved】
◯I would be grateful if you could contact my room when the Starry Sky Observation Night Tour was cancelled.
◯ I wanted the air conditioning to be available because the weather was hot and humid for May. Restaurants, dressing rooms, rooms, karaoke were all muggy and the air conditioning was completely dysfunctional, as if it were set for winter use

I don't understand Japanese or English, and every day problems

I used it for a five-night Hankyu Trapix tour. I was worried that the reviews of each travel agency since the boiler failure in June were very poor. There is not even a convenience store nearby, so breakfast and dinner are served here. It was moderately delicious, with buffets, French, Japanese, Western, and Chinese. The problem was the vertical and horizontal communication between the Japanese staff at the front desk and the foreign staff. To give one example, a restaurant has only foreign staff. It's a French course, and the steak was rare, so I asked him to make it medium, but he didn't come out after 20 minutes. Unknown reason. When I urge you, you have five minutes. Eventually, after dessert and tea, half an hour later, the other guests at the same table come home having finished their meal, and finally come out medium. He didn't understand Japanese. When you ask for hot oolong, it comes out at room temperature. There was something happening every day and I asked the tour guide to deal with it. I thought it was bouncing back to customers by keeping labor costs down.

A quiet hotel in Kurumayama Highlands

I stayed here for several nights in early September.
Tokyo was experiencing scorching hot days, but this hotel, located at an altitude of nearly 1,500m, had a refreshing plateau feel and was comfortable.
The room I stayed in was on the Kurumayama side (parking lot side) of the prominent Kurumayama Plateau, to the right of the front desk, but there were only a few cars belonging to hotel staff parked in the parking lot, and in the mornings I would occasionally see guests walking their dogs.
On a clear day, you could get a good view of the radar dome and Kurumayama Terrace at the top of Kurumayama Plateau.
In the lobby, you could see Mt. Tateshina and Lake Shirakaba from the sofas.
Many of the hotel staff were Nepalese, and they were happy to greet me with "Namaste" when I entered the restaurant.

The lobby is excellent

It takes about 40 minutes by shuttle bus from Chino Station. Chino city is also at a fairly high altitude, but the hotel is located on Kurumayama Plateau, where you can see the city far below. It was still hot at Chino Station, but the area around the hotel was comfortable. We checked in at the spacious lobby. It was better than we expected up to this point, but that was it. To get to the guest room, you have to walk up and down the elevator quite a bit, and the view from the room is only around the hotel. The buffet dinner was also ordinary food and not very tasty. There was no booth where the staff could grill or fry things in front of you. In the end, it was a disappointing hotel.

Nice view of the Yatsugatake Mountain Range. Free shuttle service.

Picked this Hotel as a stop for my excursion around Kurumayama and Kirigamine.
Have to say the photos shown in the Hotel's website do not quite reflect the actual condition. The Hotel, whilst maintained reasonably well, is in fact quite aged, and the whole building smells of those traditional onsen hotel from a few decades ago.
Not something I had expected. My Semi Western-Style Room is spacious (all rooms are spacious, really, compared to those in cities like Tokyo), with minimal amenities.
I made use of the coin-laundry room and also borrowed iron and iron board from the front desk.
The public bath with an open-air onsen was nice but not particular impressively.
Breakfast buffet was average, nothing spectacular. Just what you would expect from this style of hotels.
Staff was reasonably polite.
I suppose there are other accommodation choices around the vicinity and am not sure if Skypark is the best amongst them.
I would give it an OK score.
