Forgettable
I should premise that we are regular visitors to Villasimius and, this time, we had decided to change areas to discover new beaches. The reviews for this property were very positive and expectations were truly high.
I am not giving it just one star because the sea is undoubtedly splendid. However, in the same area it is possible to find equally beautiful beaches combined with decidedly better services.
Property
The property appears dated and evidently needs a modernization project (it is no coincidence that it will be undergoing renovation). The problem is that the rates charged are certainly not those of a hotel waiting to be renovated.
Beach
The beach is very beautiful, but it is not for the exclusive use of hotel guests and this is felt especially on weekends, when the turnout increases significantly.
Dining
This is undoubtedly the most disappointing aspect of the stay. The negative judgment does not depend only on the quality, variety, or quantity of the food, which was already not up to expectations, but above all on the total unwillingness to satisfy even the simplest customer requests.
The desserts were probably the only positive note, but they were prepared in insufficient quantities: the best options ran out quickly, forcing guests to serve themselves as soon as the meal started.
The same attitude was also encountered at lunch, an extra service that was anything but cheap.
Any modification to the proposed dishes was impossible. A trivial example: I asked for a focaccia without ham, leaving only the cheese, and I was told that it was not possible.
Breakfast was also extremely repetitive. A detail that struck me negatively: there is not even a toaster available for guests. To have toasted bread, you have to cut it yourself and hand it to the staff, who take it to the kitchen, with inevitable waiting times.
Wasps
The constant presence of wasps during meals made these moments very annoying.
Drinks/wines
Decidedly high prices and not very proportional to the overall offering.
Staff
Overall not very friendly, with the exception of some young members of the dining room staff, who proved to be helpful and professional. During the ten-day stay, no one ever cared to know how the vacation was going, and not even at the time of check-out were we asked for feedback, something that should be normal in facilities of this level.
Value for money
Very disappointing. Considering the cost of the stay, the level of services offered is absolutely not adequate.
We had very high expectations and we leave deeply disappointed. In Villasimius, spending similar amounts, we found clearly superior facilities, especially regarding dining and customer attention.
We will not return and we do not feel like recommending it.

Great facility, terrible service staff
Unfortunately, friendliness and courtesy are to be expected from service staff, especially at such a hotel. It significantly negatively impacted our stay.

Siamo davvero lieti che abbia apprezzato la nostra posizione direttamente sul mare, la disponibilità e la cortesia del nostro personale, così come i servizi dedicati ai nostri ospiti, tra cui la spiaggia attrezzata con il ricambio quotidiano dei teli e il parcheggio coperto.
È una grande soddisfazione sapere che ogni aspetto del suo soggiorno, dalla camera alla pulizia, dal servizio al comfort, abbia contribuito a regalarle un'esperienza così positiva.
