Charming and comfortable stay
I had a wonderful experience at this small, welcoming hotel. Its intimate size made the stay feel personal, and everything was spotless and comfortable throughout. The location couldn’t have been more convenient—just a 10‑minute walk from the train station and a short stroll to Piazza Bra, making it easy to explore the city on foot.
The staff were exceptional. They were warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to help, offering maps and thoughtful suggestions for places to visit. Their local tips added so much to the trip.
Breakfast was another highlight, with a great selection of pastries, fresh fruit, and plenty of choices to start the day well.
Overall, a delightful stay that combined comfort, convenience, and truly lovely service.

Nice location
Overall, we enjoyed the stay well. The location is excellent, the room was pleasant and the balcony very nice. The woman at breakfast is very nice.
What we didn't like: The reception staff did not seem very professional. Breakfast was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this category. The pillows were much too thin – you had the feeling that you didn’t have a pillow at all, they were flat like a blanket. In addition, the floors in the room were not properly clean, the socks immediately turned black.
No parking, we paid 140€ for 2 days (Arena).

Lovely hotel, but beds are extra firm.
The hotel' location is great; easy walk to the arena and other sites. I appreciated the security with your key card giving access to the building, as well as the specific floors of the hotel. The staff is very welcoming and helpful, especially the lady who runs the breakfast room. She was terrific, and the breakfast was both savory and sweet with numerous, fresh choices. Our room was very clean, and the bathroom is large. I found the mattress to be extra firm, and pillows were a bit thin for my preferences which prevented me from a great night's sleep. But, if you like a very firm mattress, then this hotel would be a perfect choice for your stay in Verona.

A beautiful hotel a few steps from the city center!
Very nice hotel that has the advantage of accumulating "good points":
First of all, his situation. The hotel is located on the Corso Porta Nuova, a major artery that connects the station district to the Arena. These are about 400 metres from the hotel, in a straight line... Once you are at the Arena, you continue through the shopping streets, and you are quite quickly at Piazza delle Erbe, for example
- To reach the station, if you have the woman to walk, no problem: a bus stop is 100 meters away (on the Corso to go to the station, or on the very pretty little Pradaval Square coming from the station)
- if you are looking for facilities in the area (restaurants, shops,...), you will not have to go far: the offer in the neighborhood, and in the "old town" finally close enough, is important
- although located on a major road, we found the hotel very quiet and well soundproofed
- the welcome is very courteous, and the staff very friendly (whether it be the lady at the reception, or her colleague at breakfast)
- we opted for a suite (4th floor), accessible via elevator (and secure code). The room was very spacious, very clean, with a decoration a little outdated, which did not lack charm.
- breakfast was varied (sweet/savory) and good quality
In short, we had a very good stay of 4 nights at the Relais Empire hotel, and we recommend it without mood.
Criticism? Either we are really clumsy, or the button in the shower to have an alternating jet was broken... Fix it for me!
