Very well located, clean comfortable rooms for the price. If you’re on a budget, this is great deal.

You guys suck.
Bad experience and highly disappointing.
We booked a double room with private bathroom through Booking, but on arrival we discovered that the structure does not have rooms with private bathroom at all. The most serious thing is that, before booking, we had contacted the hotel directly and we had been confirmed the presence of the bathroom in the room: information turned out to be completely false, LIES TO SELL LIES.
The staff justified themselves by saying that bookings on Booking are handled by third parties and that they can't help it. An explanation that is not credible and, above all, unacceptable: the responsibility for the information provided remains with the structure. Later discovering that they were not the only ones who were deceived.
We have not received any refund or compensation for the inconvenience suffered.
The condition of the structure in the street where the mail is is is equally worrying: rooms in a state of decay, the presence of mold and very questionable hygiene standards. The shared bathroom was in precarious condition, with improvised solutions even for closing the door with a headband. Even the general cleanliness left much to be desired. They should send you nas for shit.

NIGHTMARE STAY: hygiene standards and basic services do not exist
I highly recommend this property. We stayed for 3 nights in this 2 star hotel in Venice, but the experience was unacceptable in every respect, violating the minimum legal requirements:
• Hot water absent: For the entire duration of the stay we did not have hot water. The manager continued to postpone the intervention of a phantom technician who never showed up.
• Hygienic conditions shock: Instead of the shower in the room, we were proposed to use a private bathroom of the property that to define dirty is an understatement: hair everywhere and toilets in degraded hygienic conditions (presence of excrement). An offence to decency and ASL standards.
• Non-existent cleaning: Despite the regional law requires daily cleaning for a 2 star, our room has never been redone or cleaned for all 3 nights of stay.
• Management: Total lack of transparency and respect for the customer. We were teased with constant excuses instead of receiving a refund or decent alternative accommodation.
Such behaviour ruins the image of Venetian hospitality.

The main issue we had was that when we arrived we found there were no rooms at this property, but at another property nearby. Unfortunately, this was quite a hassle hauling our luggage in a city with walking and boats only. If we could have received notification in advance of any problems with the property that would have been very helpful.
But, the second property (Hotel dela Fava) was very old and quaint, with an excellent view of Venice buildings and directly adjacent to a canal. A very nice place to stay.

OK for a short stay
It is a budget hotel so do not expect anything fancy. I had read other reviews before so was a bit afraid, but it was not as terrible as other described. Yes, there are mosquitos, but no bed bugs. Yes, there is moldy (avoid during colder season). Yes, the water in the shower is not hot, however it is not totally cold either, it is rather lukewarm, shower is usable, but be prepared that the water is not hot. It is quiet if you close the window. The air conditioner worked, but it is very loud. If you have a short stay (2-3 nights), then it is OK. Bed linen were spotless clean and the towels also, soft and clean, no complaints.
