Nobody can be reached, room with water near and on electric outlet, safety hazard. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK.. NOT RECOMMEN
We were unable to check in when we arrived. Although we had booked through Agoda, we did not receive the self-check-in information. We had also contacted the property by email before our arrival, but received no response. The property therefore already had our email address and could have sent the check-in information that way. Having a guest's contact details is of little use if they are not checked or used when needed.
After contacting the property again, we waited about 2.5 hours before finally receiving the access information via WhatsApp.
When we entered the room, we found water on the floor and around and underneath the bed, apparently from the air conditioner. More seriously, water had reached the electrical socket and installation next to the bed, with water visibly dripping onto the socket. This was not simply a minor inconvenience. We considered it a serious electrical safety hazard, with a real risk of electric shock, and did not feel safe staying in the room.
At around 20:45, we were initially told that a technician would be called. When we said that we could not wait any longer, we were told to find another hotel. We therefore had to find alternative accommodation ourselves late in the evening.
What makes the situation particularly concerning is that another guest had apparently reported the same water problem two days earlier, according to an Agoda review. The property later told us that a technician had been called and that, in theory, the problem should have been resolved. However, when we arrived, the water problem was clearly still present.
This raises an obvious question: Was the repair actually completed and checked before the room was offered to another guest?
The property subsequently offered us another room. However, after this experience, we no longer felt comfortable returning to the property.
The combination of the delayed check-in, the water reaching the electrical installation, the previous report from another guest and the apparent failure to verify that the problem had actually been fixed made this a very disappointing experience.
We had to spend several hours dealing with the situation and find alternative accommodation ourselves late in the evening.
I cannot recommend this property, particularly because of the electrical safety issue and the way the problem was handled.

The bathroom is shared with many other rooms and is not very clean. Anytime someone showers, the floor of the bathroom gets flooded which has caused the door to have water damage and not be able to be closed without many attempts. The only attempt to remedy this from the owner, was to put different towels and bathing mats on the floor, which only added to the stink of dirty water from the entire hallway. The water leaked out of the bathroom and onto the hallway. You get what you pay for.
There were also attempts to get into our room several times, throughout the day and night, so lock your door if you are staying here.

WiFi was very weak.
Room came with private bathroom (with a key), but it was outdated, and not too clean.
The location is great, 7-8 minutes from the bus station. We enjoyed Trieste, but could have stayed in a nicer place.
