Exceptional Hospitality, Beautiful Villa, and Incredible Local Knowledge
The villa grounds are beautiful, and Hugo, the resident dog, gave us an enthusiastic welcome upon arrival. Ernesto was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. When we mentioned that we were doing a wine tasting nearby, he happened to know both the winery owner and its private shuttle driver. He called the winery and arranged for the shuttle to bring us directly back to Villa Viuli, rather than having us navigate the somewhat confusing regular train stops. That level of personal assistance was truly above and beyond.
Ernesto has an amazing knowledge of the area and the people in it. He was happy to recommend restaurants, sights, and local contacts, making everything feel easy and well-connected. Our room was fully air-conditioned and had a lovely balcony with views toward both Capri and Vesuvius. I also enjoyed browsing the book collection in the room that evening. And the breakfast croissants were absolutely delicious!
Although we were only there for one night while traveling onward to the Amalfi Coast, we were able to visit Pompeii and have lunch at Cantina del Vesuvio. We wished we could have stayed longer and plan to return to Villa Viuli in the future specifically to enjoy more of Ernesto’s wonderful hospitality and the beautiful setting.
A helpful tip: Villa Viuli is a villa rather than a traditional hotel, so there is no elevator and luggage must be carried up the stairs. Ernesto is happy to help, but if you are traveling with substantial luggage, as we were during our month-long trip, it’s something to keep in mind. Also, if you haven’t provided your passport information before arrival, it’s best to have it ready when you check in.
We highly recommend Villa Viuli and look forward to returning for a much longer stay!

Great host, great location
The room was great, airco, good bed, nice balcony with beautiful view of the Vesuvius and the sea. the swimmingpool was private and it seemed to be there for only the two of us. Breakfast with good coffee and the company of a little sweet dog made our holiday complete.
