We were lucky to get a room for three at this hotel. The room was tidy and had great layout with two bedrooms separated by a bathroom and a private balcony. We enjoyed cooling down in the pool before we went for a dinner. Personnel was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The rooms are quiet and nicely decorated. We had a beautiful view to the bay from our balcony and had a wonderful time at this venue. If you arrive by boat, we recommend taking a taxi to the hotel from the harbour. We were trying to spare some money walking with our luggage but it was quite a warm walk through the lovely city. My only regret is that we did not book more than one night at this location.

Shame about the unfriendly host

Let me start by saying that it is a real shame that this B&B has such unfriendly and rude hosts. We did not feel welcome for a single day and rather felt like we were standing in the way. Apart from the fact that they may not speak English very well, you can tell in every way that they find guests annoying. Other guests we spoke to shared our experience as well. A real pity, because the room, beautiful garden and accommodation with parking are perfectly fine. Reading through the reviews, it becomes clear that this negative attitude is mentioned more often. That is why it is hard to understand and difficult to believe that they have a 9.0 rating on Booking.com .
What was further somewhat disappointing is that the photo of breakfast in the garden does not fully reflect reality, as breakfast is served indoors (see photo) in a rather uninviting room, while there is a large rooftop terrace next to it where guests would prefer to sit. Additionally, a guest fridge — or even better, an honesty fridge - would be a great addition.

Comfortable & pleasant surroundings

We’ve just spent 4 night in the house of the ducks which is a 2 bedroomed unit at the bottom of the garden right next to the pool. All in, this is a pretty traditional B&B and if you’ve stayed in one previously you’ll know what to expect in terms of style and service.
The unit has a small kitchenette and washing machine, the little garden area with visiting cats is pretty and the pool was very nice to have. Much of the time we had the pool area to ourselves.
We didn’t have a car but walking into town was fine, it’s about 15 minutes to the station and 20-30 minutes into the very centre of town. There are various shops nearby and lots of restaurants nearby.
This wasn’t an inexpensive stay but compared to many other places in Sorrento, it’s definitely value for money and all in, a nice spot.

We stayed in the separate quarters away from the main estate. It was very private and seemingly had its own private pool, though it was available to the other hotel (B&B) guests. The landscape was amazing, with orange, lemon, and lime trees as well as an English walnut tree. Hydrangeas lined one fence line and roses and mandavillas existed throughout. The breakfast served each day provided a variety of fruit and pastry options, and the cappuccinos were excellent. We were 10-15 minutes walking distance from downtown Sorrento and there were some excellent restaurants nearby as well. We have really enjoyed our stay here at Ambrosia Relais.

B&B with charm

The rooms are furnished with a lot of love , we found very nice. Beautiful garden with pool and loungers . Breakfast perfect. From the old town about 20-30 min walk . We had. One night the room on the 2 floor wonderful couple view to the sea. On the second day on the first floor but here too the view is no less beautiful even if you don't see the sea . Next to the B&B the train runs and there is also a main road . Anyone who has a light sleep will certainly find this annoying.
