Good location
The hotel is comfortable, the staff very helpful.
We stayed in a clean, quiet and spacious double room.
I would only recommend to equip the closet with some coat rack suitable for hanging trousers.
The common areas are pleasant.
The breakfast room is well organized and offers a nice variety that can satisfy even the tastes of international customers.
In addition to the on-site restaurant, many bars can be found nearby.
The hotel is a short walk from the metro and many other bus and tram lines.

To avoid!
I booked two rooms and it was one of the worst decisions of my life! Upon arrival I was made a little theater for choosing a double room with my partner and, in front of others in my group and other guests, I was asked over and over again if it was a mistake and if we wanted single beds. Anyway they made us stay on the first floor, a floor under renovation as evidenced by debris, renovation carpets in the corridors and casino since the early hours of the morning. The mess also happens in the middle of the night due to continuous leakage of water from the nearby rooms (then confirmed by receptionists, it was as if someone was in the shower next to the bed), continuous flushing and moving furniture from the upstairs rooms (zero soundproofing). Dirty room, in the closet there was the garbage of previous guests that we removed next to the safe, and an old and already started toilet paper roll upstairs that I did not dare to touch, so we did not even use the closet, from the bathroom ventilation (placed above the toilet) continuous dust swabs descended. We try to put on a bad face but, after a sleepless night causes noise, in the morning I ask for help at reception. Not only did they not support me for a room change, but they did not deal with finding a solution for cleaning (which remained unchanged) and noise from the other rooms. Only after a sleepless second night and an email from Booking, they promised to move to a new room towards evening. When I return to the hotel after dinner they gave me the keys to the new room and only entering the room I discover that we moved from a double to a room with two single beds, without any request or shared information from them.
I think this is the worst experience of my life.
Non-existent director, despite my requests for support he has not once revealed himself to apologize and find a solution.
It's shameful, a hotel that they should resize the stars they have. I feel cheated.

Responsive and very noisy, when the neighbor showers it sounds like a big water leak in the room. The tram outside howls and makes the house shake from early morning. Even the AC is out of order.

Stay somewhere else!!
Do not spoil your trip to the ancient and beautiful City of Rome by staying in this hotel! plagued by plumbing problems and a bad attitude by management ( even though the reception staff are lovely!)
If you want a room that has hot water and where everything else works as it should in a four star hotel, choose a different one. Dysfunctional management.

I had the opportunity to stay with my family at the Milton Hotel until April 27th of this year. The staff are kind, helpful, and polite. However, there is a serious management problem. My wife and I went THREE DAYS without hot water! A very kind employee (who spends the entire morning alone trying to resolve everything) called a technician urgently. He said that the shower wouldn't heat up more than 42 degrees because the municipal authorities had reduced the water pressure. Of course, we were left with cold water. The next day, we complained again to another lone employee. We had an appointment and were promised it would be fixed. Cold water again! On the other hand, in two other rooms belonging to our family members, the shower worked perfectly. If the hotel had competent management, even at an elementary level, it would instruct employees to change guests' rooms immediately upon receiving a complaint of this severity. We were left with cold water. Nobody changed our room! I do not recommend the Hotel Milton in Rome to anyone and we will never stay there again. Not even if they change the manager and hire someone with a minimum of professional competence – which the current one certainly does not possess. Aleksandar Jovanović
