Lovely family owned and run hotel in the heart of Pisa. Very close to the main attractions (600metres to the leaning tower). We took a taxi to and from airport for ~€15 for 4 people with 2 large suitcases (easier and cheaper than the Pisamover). Staff were very nice, accommodating and Riccardo gave great recommendations. We visited Pisa when it was very hot and our room's air con worked very well, allowing us for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was good. Would happily recommend or stay again.

The room we where given smelt of sewage when the air conditioning was turned on - this would have been noticed by the staff prior to us being given the room, as on checking in all the windows and door to the room where wide open. The faulty air conditioning unit smell are at best caused by poor maintenance mold in the unit ect, or could be something much worse. The smell was so bad we had to demand to change rooms late in the evening which the hotel did. The corridors are best described as creepy and dated. There was no safe in either of the two room we saw. I not sure a lone traveler would feel great staying here. The rooms however had clean linen and clean bathrooms. The decor thoughout is dated. The staff did help in booking a taxi. Overall I would describe this hotel as very much as a budget hotel - however this is not reflected in the price. I would have expected this to be a £60 a night hotel. If I was going to piza again I definitely would pay slightly more and have a much nicer experience at another establishment.

Charming hotel in a great location. The room was clean, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had to leave for the airport before breakfast officially started, but they kindly prepared breakfast for us in advance, which we really appreciated. We had a great stay and would happily come back!

We loved our stay at this lovely clean hotel, air conditioning a plus as it was so hot. Ricardo on reception was wonderful, showing us local attractions and recommended local restaurants off the main area. He was helpful in finding train timetables for other trips. There was such a great choice for breakfast which was constantly being topped up. We highly recommend this traditional hotel and would love to return.

Great hotel in historic centre Pisa

Great hotel in the historic center of Pisa. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a standard 2-person room on the 3rd floor which was accessible by elevator and stairs. Room was clean, modern and fully equipped: tiled floor, good bed with good mattress and good pillows, air conditioning, mini fridge, TV, suitcase rack, wardrobe, bathroom with bidet, WC, sink and spacious shower with hand and rain shower head with hard water jet, hair dryer, shampoo / shower gel. Plus we found that the windows were equipped with mosquito nets, so we could leave the windows open at night. The breakfast was fine; there was plenty of choice and something for everyone, such as mini bake rolls, cheese, salami, cooked ham, raw ham, vegetables, fruit, cereal, croissants, cake, pancakes, coffee and tea. The hotel is close to the famous tower and other attractions. Also the pleasant shopping street and numerous terraces, bars and restaurants are within walking distance, as well as the central station, from where you can easily take the train to Lucca, Florence and Viareggio.
The 45-minute walk to and from the airport was doable.
We would love to stay at Hotel di Stefano again next time. Grazie di tutto!
