Anna PERUGIA hotel
Me and my partner spent a couple of nights at the Anna Hotel in Perugia, a historic building in the center of Perugia a few steps from the escalators that lead to a large and shady parking lot.
The hotel is located inside a historic building, internally it is furnished with antique furniture is very elegant and clean.
However, toilets should be modernised as they are somewhat dilapidated.
Breakfast is rich with fresh produce.
The reception lady very nice.

Excellent
We had booked two rooms for one night, unfortunately the day before we had to cancel due to a sudden problem with the car that left us on foot.
Mrs. Anna was very kind, Booking had charged us the penalty and she had everything cancelled.
As soon as possible we will definitely come to your hotel.

Budget Accommodation in City Centre - Walk to All the Main Sights
Hotel Anna is a basic but very conveniently located hotel on via Priori, opposite the Church of Phillip Neri. Its best features were the location and the very reasonable price.
LOCATION: It could not have been more central. We walked everywhere. It’s only a 3 minute walk to the historic centre and Corso Vannucci, Piazza Novembre, the Palazzo dei Priori, the cathedral, Fontana Maggiore and Rocca Paolina.
It was also close to escalators and carpark.
ROOM: The hotel is set in an old 16th century house with a palazzo atmosphere. From the street, you enter through one of those classic Italian heavy, wooden doors, into an old vaulted courtyard entrance, then head upstairs to the check-in. Our room was small and simply furnished but was clean and comfortable and did the job. We only had an overnight stay so it was perfectly adequate and was very good value for the price. Wifi was good and toiletries were supplied but no tea/coffee making facilities (not unusual in Italy). The bathroom was a a tight fit and was basic but again it was clean and functional and both water flow and supply of hot water was good. Despite being very close to Perugia’s centre, it was quiet during the night. It is worth noting that there are a few flights of stairs up to the check-in desk and rooms. There is no elevator (again unusual in an older building such as this) but if you have mobility issues or lots of heavy luggage, this might be a problem for you.
SERVICE: Email communication before we arrived was excellent. They replied quickly and they gave us very good instructions for arrival with good tips for the cheapest place to park overnight (see below). The owner was very welcoming and was consistently warm and friendly. Despite my woeful lack of Italian, she made great efforts to understand my elaborate charades and helped me with a restaurant booking and directions and gave me a map of the city. On the morning of our departure, we were able to leave our bags while we walked up to look at Rocca Paolina.
FACILITIES: A lounge/sitting room is available for guests and there is a separate breakfast dining room. Breakfast was included, a simple affair of breads, packaged cakes, jams, tea and coffee.
PARKING: Based on the excellent advice from the hotel, we parked at the Via Victor Ugo Bistoni carpark and paid the princely sum of €1.70 cents per day (had we been there on Saturday or Sunday it would have been free). The escalators up to the city centre are just across the road and took us straight to via dei Priori. It was only a short walk along via dei Priori to the hotel. If you want to avoid the stairs altogether, park at 'Parking Pellini' at the bottom of the escalators but you pay by the hour here.

The Anna hotel, located in the central Via dei Priori, a few steps from Corso Vannucci (the main street of the center of Perugia, which follows the "cardo decumanus" of the Roman road network, is located on the second floor of a building in the historic center of Perugia. Being guests of Mrs. Anna, whose kindness and hospitality is truly remarkable, means entering a very different dimension from that of modern hotels and is not suitable for those seeking cold modernity, like being at home cons: the furnishings, generally halfway between vintage and modern, are essential but fully functional; the cleanliness is excellent; the kindness and efficiency of the staff is notable; yogurt, from fruit cakes, from the coffee/cappuccino/etc. machine (with instantly ground coffee beans) to products for celiacs, the size of the bathroom (with shower), located inside the room , to which more space could have been dedicated.
