Excellent choice to be comfortable and have a great view

Excellent experience, amazing views, wonderful service and super complete breakfast. Excellent location and facilities were spotless.
It made our getaway to Otranto wonderful.

Bad experience

First of all, we had booked a quadruple room from Booking and upon our arrival the owner wanted a supplement of 60 for the two beds, the room was really small. The worst thing, however, was that the room was inhabited by cockroaches and also the bathroom was dilapidated, it was not possible to take a shower because it was rusty and all the plastic parts were broken; the exhaust doesn't work. I promptly informed the owner of all this and he only replied that it was not possible to find cockroaches on the first floor; so having 2 little girls who were scared we decided at 11pm to find a hotel for the night. An unpleasant experience and I would not recommend this establishment even if it is in the centre.

Allora, diciamo le cose come stanno: la prenotazione che avete fatto era di una camera quadrupla per 2 persone, per 2 notti. In realtà vi siete presentati in 4 pretendendo che le 2 bambine di 6 anni dormissero con voi nel lettone. Alla mia richiesta di 30,00 euro in più a notte per i due letti in più (colazione, acqua, biancheria da letto e da bagno, carta igienica, prodotti per igiene compresi) vi siete indispettiti. Vi siete inventati di tutto con la speranza di riavere indietro la somma pagata. Al nostro diniego avete minacciato la recensione negativa che, sicura come la morte, è poi arrivata.
Comunque sia, grazie per aver riconosciuto il valore della posizione centrale della nostra struttura.
Una curiosità: l'ALBERGO presso cui AVRESTE soggiornato vi ha assegnato una camera matrimoniale o quadrupla?

Lovely host and place !

Amazing host, treated us way better than we could even expect. The room was clean, comfortable and all necessary was there including shampoos etc. The room smelt very good. We unfortunately booked only for a night as we were just passing by in a road trip. The host and place both deserve a 5****

Helpful owner

Stayed for 2 nights we had booked through booking.com and requested a pick up from Lecce and "Erico" the host drove down himself. Cost of the pick up was 40€ after dealing with some of the local transport this was nice and quick, 50 minutes instead of 1-2 hours. Our room was clean and a good size. Wifi was good, the big plus was the TV had a few good English channels. All other accommodation we have stayed at in puglia area only had Italian.

Perfect location in Otranto

This B&B is located right outside the old city wall so it is only a 2 minute walk to the old city entrant and a 5 minute walk to a swimming beach. This part of Otranto is relatively flat - you just walk down the street without any steps. A big advantage is that they provide private parking in an area across the street from the B&B. Enrico was very friendly and helpful. He has a trattoria downstairs where an excellent breakfast is served with meats, cheeses, bread, cereals and cappucino. We had a very large room with a balcony looking towards the castle - whereas our friends had a room on the other side which was much smaller. Our only problem was the beds - the mattresses were terrible in both rooms with springs poking into you. They need to be changed! For 110 Euros per night you expect a good sleep. If there are new mattresses I would happily return to this B&B.
