Welcome and sympathy
I confirm everything positive that has already been written. Food kilometer 0 is very good. Rooms and restaurant are well maintained. The owner passionately shares his knowledge about his region and culture, far beyond a commercial spirit. You can feel a bit like family. We are very grateful for that nice stay and would highly recommend! We'll be back for sure.

Good accommodation
We stayed only one night, basic but convenient. At the entrance of the village. Clean, friendly staff and great breakfast at bar/restaurant

Nice find
We had booked rooms for one night. Arriving at the property we were surprised by the completeness of the offer: from the rooms to the wine bar and catering. Consequently we decided to try dinner: an abundant grill of meats, varied, tasty and well cooked; fresh salads, excellently presented and with high quality extra virgin olive oil; spectacular carasau (obviously, we are in Oliena!) and excellent homemade cannonau. Empathetic, prepared and welcoming staff. What more can I say? it will certainly be a point of reference for subsequent stops in Oliena.

Helpful host and comfortable stay
The bed and breakfast was great! My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The space had a beautiful door onto a terrace that had a lovely view. The breakfast was a delicious and large croissant from a local bakery (if you wanted more than one you could have that including cake!), fruit, water and coffee, sometimes a special juice. The breakfast was open from 7 until 10 which was very nice so our schedule was never driven by trying to get our breakfast. The price was very reasonable. There is an entire parking lot behind the B&B for guests which meant we did not have to worry about parking on the street. There was wifi that worked in your room and the rest of the premises which was great. The room cleaning was once every three days and the owner's wife made sure to ask us convenient times for each cleaning day which was also very much appreciated. We ate frequently in the wine bar for lunch and dinners over our 9 day stay. The service was friendly and the food very good. We were traveling with a group and one of our members was vegan and one had a number of food allergies and they took care to make sure that each were taken good care of getting special food items and preparing special dishes. One day they helped arrange a boat trip to different beaches, and they prepared a picnic lunch for us early in the morning to take with us--including some frozen water bottles so that they would still be cold later in the day! The stay itself and the food were very good and if you're in Oliena you should definitely stay here. What I can't say enough about was how helpful the host and his wife were. We were traveling to do research in the area and the host helped us immensely by making connections for us with people in the town and people who could help us to make additional connections. One night when we returned late after working the host met us and shared a special drink with us which he would not charge us for. He shared special stories of his town with us and cared about not just our stay but whether our work went well. We could not have asked for more. The hospitality we experienced was unmatched!

Picturesque and quiet
Location
It was very easy to find by car - we didn’t see any bus stops. The scenery was beautiful, it felt very safe and quiet. There were good restaurants right nearby. No local shops.
Parking
There was a car park behind the hotel, plenty of space. Unpaved tho. People parked on the main road, outside the hotel and restaurants too.
Facilities
There was some shower gel in sachets, no other amenities provided. No kettle or safe. The room was clean, big, airy, bright. It was basic, not cosy, but simple and nice. It seemed echoey, but was still quiet and we slept well. Had a balcony now which was a bonus. Shower not great.
The hosts were friendly, they didn’t speak English and my Italian is poor but a guest helped interpret.
Breakfast was in the restaurant downstairs, we were the only ones there, and were served a plate of cake and croissants, and offered hot drinks. No real options for breakfast.
WiFi signal was ok, we didn’t try streaming anything but didn’t have to keep logging in.
Plenty of plug sockets.
It’s not that close to the beach, or Su Gologne. But if you have a car it’s no problem.
