2 days in Naples

The hotel location is really convenient! 13 minutes from the station and bus station, 25 minutes on foot from the port with ferries to Capri, Amalfi, Sorrento, etc. The whole centre can be walked around.
The room got a photo that wasn't on the reservation sites. It's not new. The bathroom smells like sewage. The lake in the shower needs replacing. The toilet doesn't drain the first and second time. Number 10, he was opposite the front door, if anyone came into the hallway you could hear everything, on the other side went out onto the driveway of the main street, with the window open it was impossible to sleep 24/7. And mosquitoes are present. It's not like the picture, it's older and needs to be cared for.
Breakfast cards. A chance to get coffee and a croissant. I only brought a croissant, no coffee, so I won't say for quality. The croissant is delicious.

be very very careful, not what we expected and not what was advertised

we arrived and greeted by victora who showed us around and gave us the keys,
housed in a massive old building on the main road on corso umberto,5 apartments in one part of the building, all getting renovated, and modern rooms, there is an old lift, downstairs,we were showed our room,as i was travelling with a friend,i specifically requested 2 seperate single beds, there was a large king size bed in the room,a workman brought in another put up bed,and made it up,walking around the first thing we noticed was a awful smell of damp, musky, probably with being an old building,as we noticed the same smell in a number of shops we went in,the toilet would not stop flushing, there was a big step in the room about 25cm deep,my friend tripped up a couple of times, there was no plug in the sink,2 big pipes were sticking out above the shower,we asked where the family/public room was, they didnt know what we were talking about, even though it was advertised as having one, next thing was the noise from the apartment next to us,oh my god,it started at 08.00am,and continued until after 20.00pm,drilling,banging,the noise was so bad, that when we came back for a rest in the afternoon before going out at night,we couldnt, because of the chaotic noise, they told me that there had been a bad leak and the floor had to be lifted,i understand that things do go wrong and need to be maintained, but if we had known this we would have booked elsewhere,we asked about the family/rest room area that was advertised, and she didnt have any idea what i was talking about, the girls who we met really tried hard to make it right for us,and marcia,(i assume was one of the group)was on hand to help us,we never met her,but i chatted to her numerous times, she was so good at keeping in touch via whatsapp, another girl came from the office to help us,trying their best above all the noise,to put things right, they did give us 70eu back for one nights payment(but this is not we really wanted,as we paid 160eu for the 2 nights we stayed,as they also gave us 10eu short, they also offered to pay for a taxi back to the airport, but after booking it,they said we would need to pay it ourselves,,we just wanted a decent place to stay in naples to see the city, breakfast was 2 vouchers that exchanged for a coffee and a croissant in the bar next to the building on the main street, but if you pointed to a croissant inside, that wasnt what we could have, just the ones in a glass cabinet on the street, the final straw was walking back from a meal at night,i got mugged by a gang of 4 lads, and my chain was ripped from my neck, this is a very dangerous area at night, please dont be fooled about the place and advert,it really is nothing like we expected,i feel so bad writing all this, because i really wanted this to work as i can see they have worked very hard to make it a good place to stay, but until is it,i wouldnt touch this place,as our flight was at 06.00am originally we were going to walk to garibaldi station,to get the alibus to the airport, but after what happened to us,we were happy to pay for the taxi,as walking there with luggage we could have been knifed,or killed, never again,

That's not it.

Maybe there's a reason why the reviews stop at 2024, probably many have the same concerns as me but have not expressed them. Undoubtedly the accommodation itself deserves a higher rating and we immediately see the positives. It is extremely easy to reach from the Central Station, also convenient for walking to the main tourist attractions. Bright room, clean (daily change of towels), well soundproofed from the chaos of Corso Umberto below (the clamor of the horns used out of turn would be deafening), very useful the possibility to leave in free storage on the last day after check-out the suitcases, courteous staff, but....
The room was sold for triple (we and our friends were still two couples) but there was no physical space for a third bed, the bidet did not exist, replaced by a hose, next to the toilet, with spray that presented leaks, when you open the sink water from the drain were emitted strange noises (and sometimes even smells) -problem immediately reported - , the glass doors of the shower at the base were encrusted with rust and limestone. The reception protocol strictly adhered to with entry at 2.00 pm, but then why contact us first to know the arrival time (we at 1.00 pm) to 'agree at best' and also write in the presentation 'reception h 24'? The room of our friends had a bidet but was crossed by steps (!) which, although also marked at the entrance, are certainly not the best for those, especially at night has to go to the bathroom and does not know the room yet.
But above all in the presentation (which also appears on perhaps the most widespread booking site) there is at least misleading information. We talk about 'slippers' 'satellite and pay-per-view channels', 'walk-in closet', 'executive lounge access' (but where?!), 'board games/puzzles', 'radio', 'wake-up call' (but if there is no phone, they call us on the mobile?), and other 'services' never seen. And what is meant by 'additional toilets' ? On the balcony? Or should we have asked for slippers? I can also accept that some things (ironing board for example) did not find space in the room but the important thing is to be notified. And let's not talk about breakfast (sold as 'good breakfast'); we are given a voucher to spend at the bar under the accommodation. You are entitled to a drink (cappuccino at most) and a brioche to choose from the two of the lowest value (empty). My wife asked to have a coffee instead of cappuccino but to have a slightly richer brioche and was refused. I'm not saying that breakfast included should become a brunch but in my experiences of staying in Italy and abroad even the most miserable vending machine of hot drinks or juices allowed to do an encore, without any employee having anything to object.
No, we're not here, and I'm sorry for the girls who welcomed us with good intentions and gave us some information. By the way, to be honest, on the Maison Arena chain website, some of the missing 'services' mentioned above do not appear, they only exist on the presentation card on the booking site we use. Why is that? Who provided this data for publication ?

Everything perfect!!!

It was my first time in Naples and a friend who was there last month advised me to book here because he had a great time and in fact so it was for me!
Clean and well-kept room, attentive staff and always available and then strategic and central location!
During check-in they provided me with a map explaining the city in every detail also giving me tips on where to eat and believe me, super tips!
I will definitely return in the morning Naples and Maison Arena al Corso will still be my choice!
