Good value for money

My friend and I are travelling so only stayed here for 3 nights. I assume it's under new management now as the past reviews weren't very good. However, our stay was pleasant and everything was clean. The staff were nice and spoke a decent amount of English. Would recommend if you're looking for somewhere to stay on a budget.

Perfect for budget travel but the room problem was a bit annoying

I have just spent a week and a half with my good friend from school touring Italy and we kept note of all the pros and cons of each place we stayed. Here’s Hotel Adelchi:
Pros:
- The location was decent. It was a short walk to metro and city train which didn’t take long to get into the main parts of the city at all.
- There were plenty of food and drinks places nearby. We managed to get into a busy nearby bar and meet some friendly university locals which was good fun as we are of similar age
Cons:
- My biggest annoyance was the room. I had requested two single beds when I made the booking but when we got there we had a double bed. I brought this up to the man in reception but he said they messaged me on booking.com saying they had to switch to a double. Now, I didn’t book this through booking.com so I don’t really know what he meant so I checked what I did book it through just in case he got confused and I got no message/email to tell me they switched the rooms. They couldn’t do anything about it so I was like aight fine at least we’re close enough friends.
- The shower was in the corner of room and the shower pipe was dangling in middle which was really hard to avoid.
- We were in a ground floor room which didn’t feel too safe as the front doors were open and anyone could’ve strolled in tbh. Luckily, there was a metal frame over the window facing the street.
We paid cheap, we got cheap. The location made it worthwhile. The room situation was annoying as it would be for a couple but we just sucked it up as we spent most of the time out and about. I would recommend this hotel if you’re on a budget

The worst hotel in Milan!

The worst hotel in Milan! I couldn't imagine how it happened. I booked a room with a refundable check, but in two minutes i cancelled. In couple of hours they took the full amount of money (570 euro) from the credit card. I came twice to talk with them and asked to give my money back, but they refused and said in was not refundable check. I showed all the documents but they didn't want to talk. I don't recommend to visit this hotel if you don't want to loose your money. And yes, the owner is from China))

One star hotel

For a one star hotel, you get what you paid for. We had a shower and a sink in our room, bed, closet and a tv. There is a shared bathroom that was kept clean all the time. You get two towels for your stay. In the hallway there is a coffe and snacks machine. The room was very cold, especially during the night but there was no heating! We did have a bunch of blankets so as long as you are in the bed you will be warm. The bed was so uncomfortable. Staff was ok, not rude, but not very friendly or helpful.

Great 1 star hotel

There are a lot of bad reviews for this hotel but for a 1 star me and my friend thought the quality was really high. We are travelling around Europe and stayed for 3 nights. The room was really clean, wifi was free and fast and a fan was provided in the room. We also were expecting to have a shared bathroom but had our own shower and sink which was nice. We also came in late one evening and they kindly left the key out for us. Staff were really helpful, let us store food in the fridge and cook food in the microwave as we're on a budget. Overall, if you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay that isn't far from the centre (about a 5 min walk to the nearest metro) then this hotel is great!
