Nice B&B to visit Cinque Terre
Cons: although the host was very optimistic about the distances, it is a 15 min walk to the train station and 25 min to the beach/ down town (i.e 2-2,5 km) along a busy road with small side walks. This is doable at the start of the day but can be quite an anti-climax after a long day of walking in Cinque terre. Car can be parked practically on the beach of Levanto for €8/ day or €1,80/ hour.
Breakfast has potential (fresh coffee, different juices, yoghurt), but the lack of fresh bread (only dry prepackaged) made us walk to the supermercato every morning.
No cleaning or fresh towels during our 3 night stay.

Great place recommendable, close to the Cinque Terre
Walk to the train station took about 15 minutes. The route to the center of Levanto and the beach went in about 20 - 30 minutes. It was not a problem for us, but it is worth remembering.

Fantastic stay, great base to explore cinque terre, good value
The property is owned by a lovely man called Christian, who lets out three bedrooms on the lower floor of his house – all of which are gorgeous. Christian greeted us upon arrival, allowed us to use a private parking space on his drive, gave us maps and directions of the area etc.
The hotel is the best value for money if you’re holidaying around the Cinque Terre; hotels in the villages of the Cinque Terre itself are expensive, and in my opinion overpriced. Levanto is beautiful, just as lovely as the CT villages, and you are allowed a car there!
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Levanto (actually just on the brink of ‘Fattore’ – a small village), which for us was perfect as we enjoy walking (it only takes about 20 minutes to walk into Levanto – going straight down the main road (Strada Statale 566) all the way into the centre). It is easy to find, and best approached from the Strada Statale 566 by car, or if you are coming from the train station, go down the stairs as you exit the station, turn left, and it’s a 10 minute walk away, just going straight up the main road – Strada Statale 566. A local supermarket is 10 minutes away on foot (again, on the Strada Statale – near the train station).
Our room was nice - a spacious double room, equipped with a fridge, fan, wardrobe, bathroom etc. Not many toiletries were provided (just some soap), but there was a hairdryer, towels etc. The room was very clean, comfortable, nicely decorated.
Breakfast was nice/sufficient – cereals (cornflakes), croissants (out of a packet), biscuits, yoghurts, sweets, juice, fresh coffee/tea. There was the option to eat this inside or outside in the communal garden (we opted for the latter – it was lovely!)
The hotel is a great base for exploring the Cinque Terre – we hiked from Levanto to Monterosso (first cinque terre village) on foot in 2.5 hours (average pace, we’re not massively experienced hikers, but relatively fit) and from Monterosso to Vernazzola (second cinque terre village) in 2 hours and then got the train back to Levanto, which made a brilliant day.
The only downsides to the hotel are the lack of kettle/tea/coffee facilities in the room, or in a communal space (British idiom), limited toiletries, and the location of the hotel being a bit far away from Levanto if you don’t want to walk.
I would strongly recommend the hotel to young couples, hikers/backpackers, those on a romantic break, tight budget, and most families. Will definitely return if I come back to the Cinque Terre!

Peaceful, private, recommended if you like to walk and have more days at Cinque Terre
Here you can get rid off the buzz and crowds of the Cinque Terre villages and enjoy some privacy.
It's set in a green, peaceful area of Levanto, 15-20 min walk to the train station and 30 min or so to the center of Levanto;
Our room was enough for our 3 days spent there, private bathroom, hairdryer and towels.For us was just right, but don't expect luxury.
Breakfast is made of packed sweets: toast, croissant, jam, butter, biscuits, coffee and tea, it's not a dream breakfast, but the setting (the beautiful garden) made every breakfast pleasant. It would have been nice to have some fruits, but, there is a big supermarket on the way to the train station (~7min walk) and you can get some there.
All in all for us was a good choice.
We had 3 full days there, enough to enjoy the villages in Cinque Terre and Levanto itself which is a nice quiet town.
Since we stayed 3 days-4 nights, walking from and to the hotel maybe more times a day was not a problem.
However, if you are short on time to visit Cinque Terre, the walk to the train station& taking the train to the villages will take precious time, so, in my opinion, if you in this situation better get accommodation in one of the 5 villages (though it will be more expensive).
CONS:
The B&B was a bit difficult to find. You get out of the train station and take the main road opposite direction to the center of Levanto.
When turning left from the main road, the road splits in 2, one road each side of the river; we didn't know which road to take, make sure you take the first one going up (the first one on your left hand side);
However, Cristian is a nice host so in case you need help better have his number saved somewhere & call him for direction.
There is no sidewalk for the last 200-300 meters to the B&B so you have to walk on the road, but don't worry there are not many cars going this way; also there is a small portion that was not lit at night (maybe 30m or so).
As I said before for us was just perfect, we like to walk and had 3 full days in Cinque Terre. But, if you are there for just a night or two I would suggest to get accomodation in Riomaggiore, Vernazza, Manarola, Corniglia or Monterosso al Mare.
