An "honest" hotel at affordable prices
I stayed for three nights with my family and we had a wonderful time.
If you are looking for the essentials and can settle for a few "imperfections," this is the right place for you: first of all, it is clean (unfortunately, not all are, even those with more stars).
We were assigned the room "the world traveler," decorated with a travel theme: spacious and bright, with a French door and blackout curtains leading to a small balcony equipped with a small and charming table with two chairs; a comfortable bed with a light quilt, clean sheets and pillowcases, and just the right amount of comfortable pillows; minimal but nice furnishings including a large wardrobe with drawers (inside it, a safe, a third pillow, and a heavy blanket), two nightstands with drawers, and a desk/TV stand; a complete set of new and clean towels (2 shower, 2 face, and 2 bidet); a private bathroom with a window, shower mat, hairdryer, bidet, and unlimited hot water (no, never take that for granted); a functioning and efficient air conditioning unit with a working remote; a Philips color TV (it’s large, it turns on, the remote works, and all channels are clear, which is also not to be taken for granted), an efficient mini-bar (it fits a 1.5L bottle and other small items) and all lights working; a clean faux parquet floor; and recently painted walls. Open entrance 24/7 with security codes for access.
The staff is very courteous and helpful, even for extra stay information.
The icing on the cake: breakfast included (very simple: toasted bread, jam, cakes, and packaged cookies, tea, and coffee).
If I really have to nitpick (but it doesn't depend on the staff): 1. The Genoese mosquitoes reach even the fifth floor (maybe they take the elevator) but they provided us with a mosquito repellent device in the room without us even having to ask!; 2. With the window open, you can hear the seagulls making a racket (yes, right in the city center...) and the street cleaner cleaning the road at the most improbable night hours.
Nearby, there are several shops of a certain level, a Lego Store, a pharmacy, various banks, bars, ice cream shops, and pastry shops (I suggest the "Tagliafico" pastry shop and "Pisacane" ice cream shop (unfortunately, there is always a line); numerous restaurants (including Chinese and sushi) for all budgets and tastes, among which the famous and exclusive "Zeffirino" (not for all budgets...), two McDonald's, and several kebab shops.
What else do you need?? ;)

The stay of the Heart in Genoa: a piece of home!
The staff, very kind and very courteous, as well as extremely helpful, has the ability to make you feel at home.
Having to stay in Genoa for at least two weeks a year, we choose the same structure, always remaining more than satisfied also for the excellent quality / price ratio, for about ten years.
Thanks always to the legendary Antonio, the beautiful Uncle Claudio, the very nice "old young" Patrick, the spectacular Rachel and the very kind Vanessa!
The Chiarenza family.
