Warm, quaint, charming

The owner, Fabio, is warm and charming. The room was quaint and comfortable. The service is outstanding. We arrived very late and the owner accommodated us. The location is central to everything, we walked all the way tot he aquarium without problems. You can't go wrong here.

Avoid this hotel — deceptive practices, lies, and terrible customer service!

I strongly advise against booking the Actor Hotel. Their business practices are entirely deceptive. Before making a reservation, we explicitly called to confirm if two 17-year-olds could check in, and the hotel staff clearly said YES. Immediately after we paid for the room, they suddenly reversed their decision and refused accommodation due to their age, leaving the guys without a place to stay at the last minute.
Realizing their mistake, the hotel promised in writing (in the Booking.com chat) to cancel the reservation without any penalty. However, they intentionally ignored my official cancellation request in the system, trying to stall and keep our money. I had to involve Booking.com support to force a refund.
But the absolute worst part was their attitude. When we called the hotel to ask why they were delaying the promised cancellation, the staff openly laughed at us on the phone, mocking us with: "Hahaha, Italian booking."
This is the most unprofessional, dishonest, and rude hotel experience we have ever had. They will promise you anything to get your money, and then laugh in your face. Stay away!

Enjoyable stay

The room is comfortable, the bathroom is large and comfortable. The staff is friendly, super efficient and considerate. In fact, he showed us which areas of the city to avoid at night and which are nice to frequent and visit. Enjoyable stay!

Unpleasant Stay and Poor Customer Service at Actor Hotel

I recently stayed at Actor Hotel and had an extremely unpleasant experience. The room was located close to the front desk, causing concerns about potential noise disturbances. I was manipulated into purchasing beverages under the assumption they were complimentary, leading to unexpected charges.
Most distressingly, the room's air quality was severely compromised due to a dusty blanket, causing significant discomfort and health issues. Attempts to seek assistance were futile as no staff was available, and my concerns were met with indifference the next morning.
I felt deceived and disrespected when the hotel reneged on the offer of a refund and was eventually expelled from the hotel. I am appalled by the unprofessionalism and deplorable conditions at Actor Hotel and strongly advise potential guests to consider other accommodations.

New Year's Eve in Genoa

We stayed at the hotel over the New Year weekend.
The structure is very close to the historic center, but also to the Brignole station so, having traveled by train, it allowed us to easily visit the city by moving around on foot because all the main attractions are a 10/15 minute walk away.
The family-run hotel is located in a very quiet area of the city, has some parking spaces and the structure is very clean. The owners then proved to be extremely kind and helpful both in terms of accommodation (they welcomed us with a free upgrade of the room to a more spacious one equipped with a shower cabin with hydromassage and Turkish bath), and in providing us with useful information for visiting the city and of the surrounding areas (also suggesting a walk to the splendid Boccadasse).
The small Italian breakfast is served in the living area and is perfect for the standards we are used to.
Finally, the possibility of leaving luggage on arrival and on the day of departure proved particularly useful.
