Better than expected after reading recents

Read a lot of the reviews here, and already held my heart. Arrived yesterday vulture. But don't find this at all!
Been in Italy for years at the garda lake, but really don't think this is as bad as most describe here. The staff is very friendly. The room is normal, not the latest stuff, but sufficient for the holidays. You live more outside than inside. Given the price, you shouldn't expect a luxury villa either. We didn't do that either. I think it's a perfect holiday destination. Nice pool 2 pieces. Breakfast night food perfect. Even get served for this money. Restaurant is perfect, aircon cooled. Food fine, staff super friendly. And drinks are affordable. Location is good. Say again, do not write a review if you expect a 5 star hotel, but write a review pro rata. I am very happy with this stay.

I do not recommend it.

Unfortunately, without air conditioning and without window screens, the stay in August was exhausting due to the intense heat suffered. The hotel is very old, the rooms need a fresh coat of paint on the walls and better daily cleaning. The location is worth it for the view, but it is difficult to get around on foot. The pool service made up a little for the disappointment of the rooms. Decent breakfast but could be improved. Overall, the price paid is exaggerated.

Charmingly nostalgic and familiar

We were there for 4 nights in a room on the lower floor. In general, we were pleasantly surprised, since the reviews are not that good.
True, it is old and the road up is uneven and steep; there are mosquitoes if you leave the balcony door open. And the elevator is truly still original from the 60s or 70s and a bit eerie, nevertheless it still works.
BUT everything was very clean, the atmosphere is familiar and casual, the staff is very friendly, and the view is spectacular. The grounds and the pool looked good. The breakfast was also okay, if the hustle and bustle in the dining hall doesn't bother you.
For us, it definitely worked out well. We taped our mosquito net over the balcony door, had bicycles with us, and were quickly at the promenade and at the Baja delle Sirene with them.
We found the nostalgic style very charming and would stay there again if we are in the area.

Fun stay

We had a comfort apartment. This was renewed and had air conditioning. Spacious bedroom and bathroom! Also a terrace in front of the apartment! The large pool was good. I the small pool there are some maintenance work needed (pavers come up a bit around the pool). We have been to many places and were really satisfied with this place,
The lesser stars here on Tripadvisor are not correct!

Do not book under any circumstances!!!!

Mold, dirty, bug, broken, small, old outdated, wifi bad or not recommended at all in any case 2 looked at rooms and always the same (mould on the ceiling and bug in the room and in bed)
