. A delightful and well-kept corner of Florence. In the heart of the city. Kindness and professionalism. Where in a 17th-century atmosphere, Mr. Mario makes you feel at home. We will return.

Don’t Book this Hotel!

DO NOT STAY HERE unless you like noise, no lighting & uncomfortable rooms. You feel locked in a medieval jail. We ditched the room we already paid for & had to pay for a replacement hotel. It was that bad! & VERY Expensive $400/night for the total lack of amenities. Absolutely awful.

A pearl in the heart of Florence

Staying in this hotel was the best birthday present I could give to my partner. He was amazed when he saw our room, the one with the original 17th century frescoes. Attention to detail, we felt like we were inside a painting. Impeccable then, the welcome and kindness of the staff. We also had the opportunity to visit Florence on foot, leaving our luggage on site and take advantage of a service bathroom (which is not at all obvious!)
We will definitely return

Excellent accommodation

The Hotel is located in a great location in Florence, close to Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiori, and Chiesa di Santa Maria Novella.
You can walk from Santa Maria Novella train station.
The Central Market is nearby, and virtually next door is the Chapel of the Medici and the Museum.
We were very well received by a very kind gentleman, and at breakfast who served us was the friendly and polite Giulia.
The room was very beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and with a beautiful view to the dome of the Chapel of the Medici. The breakfast contained yogurt, cake, croissant, jelly, bread, juice, American coffee, capuccino, fruit, which for us was very good. I have nothing to complain about, just compliments. The best place I stayed in Italy, would definitely return.

Excellent location with superb staff

Charming hotel in a superb location, 5 minutes walk from the duomo and around 15 minutes to other major sights. A minutes walk leads to several streets with restaurants and bars. My single room was tiny but everything that I needed was there. Hotel staff are superb...offering advice on lesser known sights and always friendly. Free coffee and water are available too. Would definitely stay here again
