Beautiful experience
Two beautiful days, Marco the host was super kind and always available for his guests. Large, tidy and clean room. Rich and abundant breakfast. An oasis of tranquility on the banks of the Arno.
Highly recommended!

Dream B&B just outside of Firenze
I had the most wondeful time when staying at Eridu. I felt very welcome and at home during my stay. As I was traveling by myself with public transport, Marco very kindly gave me a lift to the local train station when possible. Also, when needing inside tips for Firenze and the surroundings, varying from restaurants, sites, museums or villages, Marco is the perfect host and very happy to advise.
The B&B itself is very is a beautifully, artistically renovated old building next to the Arno river. The river's presence is hearable every day through the small waterfall, which has something calm and relaxed. Also, the B&B has a beautiful flowery garden where you can sit and relax if weather is good. Inside, the rooms are beautiful and spatious and clean, providing everything you need. The kitchen is a nice, cosy hub where breakfast is served and provides space for kitchen talks during the evening, but also during breakfast. Breakfast moreover is one of the best I had in ages. Everything is fresh and delicious and overall very copious, savoury and sweet. And of course with a nice espresso or cappuccino.
So overall Eridu provides the perfect base to explore Firenze and the surroundings and that you feel happy to return to after a long day out and about. I would definately come back whenever I can!

Wonderful stay
Very good location,7mn drive from Sieci station where frequent trains goes to Firenze Santa Maria Novella. Marco gave us great advices for the restaurants in the surroundings and in Florence. House is very nice with a huge garden and there is free parking in front of the house.
We slept like babies because the house is very quiet next to te Po river and the bedding was excellent. Room was very clean and confortable. . And furtermore the breakfast was great (delicious bread delicious cake, fruits, yogourt and Marco was serving breakfast to us very nicely .

Look no further, This B&B is First Class in every way
We wanted a base outside the city but with reasonable transport to get around and we didn't want to hire a car.
Eridu was our choice and we were so lucky to have chosen this place to stay for a week. Marco is the very friendly, helpful host who runs this relaxed welcoming B&B Situated alongside the River Arno and surrounding hills.
Getting there:
We flew to Florence and hopped on the airport bus to the main train station, Firenze SMN and from there, a 15 min train journey to Compiobbi where Marco had agreed to meet and drive us to the B&B which is approx 1 mile away. For the rest of the week, we walked to and from Compiobbi at a leisurely pace, it takes about 20 mins and the weather was great. There is also a bus stop very close to the B&B but we never used this transport, preferring the walk.
The railway system and the trains are first class and easy to use. Just be aware of two things; 1) Buy tickets (Train & Bus) at a Tobacco Shop (Tabacci) it's easier, or from an auto ticket dispenser in the station (they don't accept Debit Cards but will accept Credit cards and some take cash) 2) Make sure you authorise the train tickets at another machine (usually on the platform) or you could be fined up to 200 Euros for unauthorised travel.
Back to Eridu. Marco will ensure you have everything you need, he even offered to shop for us since he was driving into Florence. Another day, we were walking to the station in Compiobbi and Marco, seeing us, stopped and gave us a lift all the way to Florence. Not only that, he then proceeded to take us around attractions which we would never have seen without his expert knowledge and helpful assistance.
The accommodation is very clean and spacious, you have your own keys to the property and can come and go as if it's your own home the gardens are also spacious and there are indoor and outdoor areas to sit and relax.
We have made a new and very good friend in Marco and another of his friends who was working there has also invited us to visit him in Naples, in the future.
Overall, this B&B owned by Marco and his Mum & Dad will make you feel very welcome and go far beyond what you would expect in terms of hospitality.
Look no further, just book into Eridu, you won't regret it.

What a place
We used a motorcycle to travel from Nice to Florence and in the process ended up getting a little lost with the night descending. We contacted our host who was patient and understanding and guided us to the house where he made us really welcome. Marco is a lovely host and helped us with places to eat and even though we somewhat ignored his advice about the local restaurant, Crazy Train, we had a great little meal (this place is within walking distance but I agree it would be best to have some form of transport, perhaps renting a scooter in Florence would be the best option as it is only 15 mins away and parking is no problem with 2 wheels.
The room was lovely with a nice bathroom. Breakfast was exactly what was required with cheeses, meats yoghurt so, toasts, cereals, coffee and juices. The last evening was spent with wine sitting in a beautiful garden surrounded by lemon bushes and fruit trees. The river is close by and makes a great sound to sleep by in the very comfortable bed.
Marco is a lovely host, making a much better effort with English than I did with my Italian.
