Quiet city hotel with charm and comfort
We spontaneously booked two nights in Como, the hotel choice was already quite limited. Although the hotel is relatively expensive, met our expectations.
We were able to handle the entire registration bureaucracy conveniently online, in addition we were provided with useful information via WhatsApp. Located in the middle of the old town, a bit hidden in a courtyard. After a short search – with the help of a local person – we found it. The farm and the houses in front of it ensure a pleasantly quiet location.
The reception was friendly, the check-in went smoothly. By upgrading we got a spacious room with Jacuzzi. The room was clean, well decorated and the bed offered good sleep quality. Only the air conditioning was a bit noisy, yet we felt comfortable. Also the check-out was straightforward.
Important to know: The hotel does not offer its own breakfast. Instead, guests can choose between three nearby restaurants. We tried two of them – both were fine, but there was no “wow effect”.

The center is clean, but the breakfast doesn''t cater to those seeking variety.
The centralized location was very helpful if on the distance.The room was clean.The breakfast menu is very limited. There are 3 different options around for breakfast.They are even more limited if you serve breakfast, especially at the corner of Hotel Post. You’ll need to pay extra for a larger breakfast. The Caffe&Caffee was better than the rest. We couldn’t get exactly warm when we opened the heating in the room. Elevator not found.

We have had a great stay here! So neat, super clean and a luxurious room with jacuzzi!
What I read in the other reviews was absolutely not with us. Nice and helpful staff and the room really clean!
We had the “attic room” but this was a very spacious suite.
Breakfast was great too. You could eat this at 3 different tents and 2 of them we tried, very tasty!
The location is also top!

Worst hotel i’ve ever stayed at. 0/10
BUYER BEWARE: From the moment we checked in, the vibes were off. The concierge was pushy, abrasive and impolite. His condescending nature began immediately upon walking us to our room and demanding we “try” to enter our four-digit code to show him we “could”. It was cringey, rude and creepy. We’d been traveling for 18 hours, it was 92° outside and he was treating us like children so that we wouldn’t need to call on him for help. He even went as far as walking into our room WITHOUT knocking, mimutes after arrival to tell us something that easily could’ve been communicated electronically, or better yet, with the common courtesy of a knock. We were jarred by his unprofessionalism, but assumed it a one-off and chocked it up to a cultural difference.
From there it only got worse. The room we stayed in was visibly dirty; the floors hadn’t been swept in what looked like ever, the shelves were dusty, the fridge had a moldy smell to it, and yet, the entire place wreaked of chlorine. The bathroom was so dirty that after showering there was actual mud on the floor. The toilets were gross and the shower had questionable spots all over it. The worst part was the beds. A concrete slab would have been more comfortable. The beds, the pillows were all hard as rock, both in texture and fabric. I’ve never slept worse in my life. Even if the beds hadn’t been sent straight from the devil, himself, the walls/floors are so paper thin that you can hear FULL conversations of the guests around you. Every time someone entered or exited the palazzo or a neighboring flat, you will feel/hear it, and it is LOUD. Needless to say: I didn’t sleep. My back and neck are still messed up from trying.
The worst part of all was that when we went out during the day we specifically put a sign on our door to indicate we did not need a clean and to not disturb the room, yet upon returning we found out that they had, in fact, been in our room, yet cleaned nothing. If you’re going to disregard the guests wishes and invade their space the least you can do is tidy up. But alas: The bed sheets remained stained, the floors, dirty, the fridge; unstocked. It was genuinely shocking how bad the service was. Not to mention the fact that the check-out time is 9AM, and they weren’t even at work yet when we went to check out. The sign says they open at 9, but checkout is also at 9? I will tell all my friends and family to stay far far away from this overpriced scam disguised as a chic hotel the next time they’re in Como.
While you should definitely NOT stay here, you should check out Cafe Caffe, next door, which was the only redeeming part of our entire stay. The woman running the place was warm, helpful, accommodating, and served us incredible breakfasts with an atmosphere so peaceful we forgot how exhausted we were from tossing and turning all night. The croissants, coffees and fresh juices were some of the best we had, anywhere. We will definitely go back to her business, as well as recommend it to friends and family.

Stingy breakfast with an early check time
On arrival we were delighted with the outside space, which was a beautiful courtyard and when we entered our room we were still happy. The room was comfortable and the shower room was acceptable too.
The only fault with the room was it had two steps leading to the bed, because the flooring was the same colour the steps become an accident waiting to happen, both my sister and I tripped on the stairs.
Breakfast - What a disappointment, you could either choose a sweet or savoury breakfast . I chose sweet, I was told I could either have one croissant or two (tiny) pastries. It was not worth the money I paid for the breakfast. Checkout was at 10am, I’ve never been to a hotel with such an early check out time .
