The Perfect Boutique Hotel
What a perfect little hidden gem, this boutique hotel was brilliant. The location was just a little walk from the cathedral and great to explore the old streets of como.
I have to give a special mention to Margarita, who was the most friendly and accommodating front of house, she gave us information to make the stay in Italy easier and was also so smiley and happy. All the other staff members were also hard working and helpful.
It was our 10th wedding anniversary whilst in Como, and the hotel had prepared a lovely note, bubbly and desserts, this was a really nice gesture.
We chose the deluxe double room and it was lovely , with a little window and decorated modern and tastefully, the bathroom was huge and again very modern, good options of different lighting and mirrors. The rooms aircon was great and appreciated in 35 degree heat, the room was cleaned daily and the hotel felt immaculate. They have rituals products, including shampoo and body wash, then a welcome pack with mini cleanser, body lotion, etc. The room has a safe, and fridge, dressing gowns, tv (we linked to Netflix for English programmes) hairdryer etc, we requested an iron and they brought one up to the room.
The breakfast was presented lovely, fresh avocado on toast and we added bacon and eggs from the self service buffet. They also have lovely coffee and fresh orange juice, along with different bakery items and fruit.
Short walk to the ferry, bus and train station and near to lots of shops and restaurants. One of the days it rained in the morning so the hotel offered us umbrellas to borrow and it was so quaint to wander around the old streets exploring and finding some lovely shops and restaurants.
We stayed for four nights and there was always a chocolate on our pillow and fresh bottle of water in the fridge. It felt very safe around como. We had the best pizza and nice cocktails overlooking the cathedral.
Top tip is to get up early and head down to the ferry station before 7am and we got the fast ferry about 45mins to Bellagio and Varenna to beat the crowds for beautiful views. Getting around como was abit difficult as the fast ferry gets booked up and we had to get the slow one home which was 2.5/3hrs from Varenna as it stops along the way, although looking at the scenery is pretty, it did feel long, so just factor in timings. Also be careful you don’t miss the last ferry back to como as they finish earlier than expected.
We decided to get the C110 bus leaving by the train station to Menaggio and Tremezzo, you can see bus times on google maps but they do get very busy so bring a fan to keep cool. Also make sure you buy an icecream and sit by the steps of the lake in the evening so peaceful.
We cannot wait to return as the lake is breathtakingly beautiful and the food is amazing, and would recommend this beautiful hotel as a great base. grazie mille for making our stay memorable.

Perfect Start to Vacation
My wife and I visited Lake Como before embarking on a cruise from Venice to Athens. The 73 Boutique Hotel has an excellent location in the middle of Como, a short walk to the lake, shops, and restaurants. All the staff were very friendly, and the daily breakfast was very good. I highly recommend 73 Boutique Hotel for your Lake Como visit.

Como City is lovely
Lovely Hotel in Como City. Lovely terrace out front for coffee or a drink. Breakfast was good. Room was nicely furnished. Hotel is located on small quiet side area off the pedestrian street. We would stay again.
We only spent one night. In retrospect I wish we stayed at least two. We took the bus to Bellagio (painful no seats) If you take it catch it at the train station. We took the ferry back which was long but we loved it. Como City is nice. It would have been good to explore. We also took the funicular up to Brunate. We went first thing in the morning. No long line ups.
Como City is over touristed. The day we left there were hundreds of people arriving by train. Too many for the sidewalks and they walked on the road. I truly felt bad for the residents.

My friend and I booked the deceivingly wonderful 73 Boutique for 4 nights, for a wedding in which I was the maid of honor. On the first night, we woke up to 100+ bug bites each. We inspected the bed, and immediately saw a dead bug, one live one crawling, and another clear carcass on the ground. We told the front desk immediately and showed them pictures, and we showed her and a housekeeper the dead,l bug on the bed. The housekeeper inexplicably picks up the bug, throws it over her shoulder, and repeatedly says in italian, “it’s not an insect.” The receptionist was understanding and believed us, and offered to speak to the hotel manager. They offered us room on another floor, which we accepted, as we were understanding that it was a clean, 4 star establishment that perhaps had a one-room mishap. However, what was unacceptable was that such a clean, 4 star establishment had no policy for luggage treatment, a dismissive housekeeper, and worst of all, stood their ground on only offering 50% off the FIRST night, the night we suffered. We asked to speak to the manager and never got an opportunity to. Multiple people including the reception manager were informed that I spent the multi-day wedding as the maid of honor with bites all down my neck and face, both arms, and back, and they all reiterated that the manager refuses to offer anything more than 50% off a single night. What a joke. Enjoy your risk of 100+ bites with no reconciliation.

Fantastic!
Boutique hotel in the heart of Como, convenient to everything from shopping to visiting the city and the lake. The hotel staff are young and fantastic, always available! Top-notch cleanliness and breakfast as well! It's a shame I only stayed for 3 nights!
