Genuine and sincere hospitality

We stayed on the evening of August 11, 2024,
13 exhausted hikers for a long trek at high altitude not yet completed.
So stay for a night of passage, after plowing the beautiful paths of the high street n2.
It takes little to understand that you are at home in a distant corner where small things make a difference.
Welcome, kindness, availability, courtesy are the must of this house built in a corner of paradise.
Recommendation the little restaurant near the Hostel.
With a little patience, I remember that those who wait are on holiday, everything arrives with good and genuine products.
If you are a Hostel guest the restaurant manager applies a small discount.
Another way to welcome us!

Tranquil Oasis

Nice, quiet and well-kept hostel... Comfortable rooms, wonderful evening receptionist, very nice and accommodating!!
Possibility of having discounts for the restaurant immediately below for those staying.

Spacious hostel - great area for hiking

I stayed here for 5 nights while hiking in the Cogne area. The hostel is modern and spacious, located about 10 mins walk uphill from the centre of Cogne. Although I'd booked a dormitory bed I had a room to myself with great views towards Gran Paradiso (see pic). My only negative experience was, after being told breakfast was at 8am, arriving to find that a group had eaten everything and having to wait 20 minutes for supplies to be replenished. The croissants almost compensate for the always-stale bread.
There is also a bar and restaurant under the same management just in front of the hostel. You can eat in the restaurant from 7.30pm as part of a half-board deal.

More than a hostel

I spent 3 nights here just one week ago. The place is very neat and well organized. The building is completely restored and very nice to see. Everything is so new inside too. Bedrooms are clean and beds are comfortable. In my room I had 3 beds, a big closet, and a useful desk. Bathrooms are clean and near the rooms. Breakfast is fine. I was in a hostel but it seemed I was in a great hotel to me. The staff is very kind and ready to help. The owner Giuseppe is a very nice and caring person. Just close to the hostel there are a fine restaurant and a good pub. I'll definitively choose Ostello La Mine for my next trip to Cogne!

L' ambiente è accogliente, pulito e ordinato. I bagni sono pulitissimi. La colazione è ottima con prodotti dolci e salati e con caffè ottenuto da chicchi macinati al momento e latte fresco. La vista sul Gran Paradiso è impagabile
