Lovely hotel

This is a very lovely small hotel with friendly staff who go above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful experience. We arrived for a three night stay for a family wedding nearby. On arrival we discovered booking.com had cancelled our reservation without us knowing. It was early evening and we were tired from travelling. Luckily for us there was a room free and we were made welcome. The owner could not have been more helpful in a difficult situation. (Terrible service from booking. Com )
Breakfast was simple but fresh and beautifully presented . The hotel was super clean and the service in the hotel and the terrace restaurant was exceptional. Views from the restaurant are stunning !
If you hire a car, parking was easy. You can park almost outside to unload then use the car park free which is 5 minutes walk away using a sign given from the hotel.
Highly recommend this hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay .

a romantic hotel

A romantic hotel !!!!!!!!!! how beautiful: a castle in a historic Italian setting. Very, very nice owner, very tidy and beautiful and spacious Deluxe double room, bed super......windows with shutters...., air conditioning.....daily cleaning, breakfast lovingly prepared, fresh, delicious items, you can have breakfast on the terrace in the paradise garden, the nice lady brings the coffee, a few turtles stroll through the garden. Wonderful.... slowed down...... The view from the terrace over Certaldo is a dream, it is absolutely quiet there... In the evenings, we dined on the terrace of the Castello Restaurant, where you could see the sunset... The food was a poem, the wine excellent, super friendly and attentive service, friendly atmosphere.. Around the corner, you could take a small cable car down to the town of Certaldo below the old town Certaldo. A free parking lot was within easy reach.....everything was totally pleasant.....big compliment........ we will go there again.....

Best in Certaldo

We had a really enjoyable stay at Hotel Il Castello. The location in Certaldo Alto is fantastic, with beautiful views and plenty of charm. Our room was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
A special bonus is the beautiful hike to Parco Canonica, which starts close to the hotel and offers wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside.
The hotel restaurant serves good food, but we found it a bit expensive, so we only ate there once.

The hotel is well situated with a beautiful panorama. We had a one night stay and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. We enjoyed dinner and were very happy with breakfast.

Authentic and charming panoramic castle residence

To further emphasize the authentic atmosphere of Certaldo Alto, we highly recommend that you also reach a stay at this charming hotel, Il Castello, with a Funiculare. It has an elegant terrace with a beautiful panorama. In addition, there is an excellent restaurant with fine cuisine and custom wines. All employees still do their best to make the guests comfortable.
Our holiday was a great success, Il Castello definitely deserves an extra star.
