I Lumi is perfectly located in the heart of Catania's historic district. Giuseppe reached out to me on WhatsApp a few days before our booking to make sure he was there to meet us and show us to our room. His communication was excellent and he was very responsive to the questions we had. There are only a few rooms at I Lumi and I think we were the only people staying when we were there. The building has quite an historic feel with domed ceilings and a fresco on the ceiling in the breakfast room. The beds were very comfortable and the spacious family room we were in had an air conditioner and an ensuite bathroom with a very good and powerful shower. Thank you Giuseppe for a perfect overnight stay - and also for your advice on where to eat - we had a fantastic meal round the corner at 'Lettera 82" restaurant!

It's okay.

We had a good location centrale.Giuseppe helped us kind serious rely on him x rent the car with his friend Damiano molto serio.Ci are small things to improve easily as the breakfast.Roba da poco.Catania is beautiful you eat very well and is a strategic point x easily go to wonderful places see Mount Etna, Ortigia Taormina etc.

Avoid... move away from the center and take 4 more steps rather

Let's start with the points in favor:
The kindness of the guy who welcomed us, the location in the center and the ability to leave your luggage on the day of departure until 6.30 pm.
Points against :
dilapidated building
seen from the hideous room, looked like poorer India
lack of courtesy kit and a roll of toilet paper for 3 people for 2 nights
white towels with stains I think rust (I hope)
some wall sockets not working
embarrassing breakfast with discount croissants, left exposed all day and night. From a Sicilian B&B I would have expected much more in terms of quality in fact the breakfast we did not even dare to taste it.
It's true we spent little but trust me it's still not worth it.
I put some photos .. I would also have the video of the building but it exceeds 100 mb

An Emergency Accommodation that proved to be full of charm

Quite central location, from the outside the building does not look much but just take the stairs, enter the Accommodation and...wonder! An ancient noble palace!! Themed furnishings, painted walls, terrace... self-managed breakfast but rich and plentiful. Michele, our host, kind and fast.
Only problem: the bed I slept in had the bed base broken and fixed, but the mattress still made a basin under my back. I'd switch nets.

Bellissima struttura!! La consiglio

Ottima la posizione, personale molto gentile e disponibile. Camere bellissime, avevamo una familiare immensa, proprio per questo consiglierei un condizionatore più potente. Esperienza stupenda. Ve lo consiglio vivamente. Ho letto alcune recensioni negative che in base alla mia esperienza non corrispondono
