Returning home
For the second year in a row, my family and I have returned to our oasis of “peace”..
Let's start with the assumption that my Sardinian roots always bring me back to this land from a tender age;
but what I feel when I arrive at “Cala Luas” is truly inexplicable.
From my first swim in 2025, I decided that I will be team “pebbles” forever❤️although I was hesitant initially, such clean water 10 days out of 10
I don't think I have ever found in Sardinia..
(zero seaweed, zero posidonia..) only TRANSPARENT water and a few little fish!
The fact that the beach is so huge, even in the middle of August, makes you feel as if you were on a strip of private island
As for my personal opinion: in August I need “relaxation” not “chaos” and being the mom of a 5-year-old boy, it is always a detail that I find right to consider.
Exquisite food, dining room and kitchen staff managed perfectly.
This year I would like to compliment the girls who take care of cleaning the rooms, your kindness and professionalism were impeccable!
Entertainment: kind guys but their lack of experience is noticeable so it cannot be judged, I am just sorry to have felt very little empathy

Disappointing
I’m sorry to say that my experience at Cala Luas Resort was disappointing.
Having stayed at several Caribbean and Mediterranean resorts, including three in Greece recently, I found the experience below what I would expect at this price level.
The restaurant feels more like a school cafeteria, with limited food and beverage options and almost no choice of desserts. In my opinion, it is not worth eating there, even when meals are included.
The additional charges for pool towels, sun loungers, and beach access, especially given it's a resort, just doesn't make sense (perhaps for non-italian guests, I'm trying to reason it might be cultural).
The staff were kind and welcoming, but the overall service did not match my expectations, they were kind to explain everything that was missing. Not their fault.
The room are humble, but the air conditioning works well, very much as needed.
Sardinia itself is beautiful and absolutely worth visiting. However, based on my experience, I would recommend choosing an established international chain or staying in an Airbnb.

NOT A 4*!!!
This hotel is advertised as a 4* however, it’s more 3*. We were bed and breakfast and if you want to pay for anything you have to load up a card(quite normal for some hotels). If you don’t use the card then you get the money back in cash rather than having it put back on your card.
PLEASE BE AWARE: you have to pay to sit by the pool or sea €7 per bed per day. This surprised me as you pay handsomely to stay here. The pool, although lovely is more of a children’s pool, the beach is a little walk away and although clean, it had a steep decent.
The room was dark and dingy. The AC was not strong enough for the room and so we were unable to sleep. There were hairs in the bed and the plug hole in the shower was unblocked by my husband by pulling out a LOT of hair.
The breakfast was plentiful but boring. I suspect this might be indicative of a 3* hotel but you expect more of a 4*. Oh and, it is prohibited to fill up your water bottle from their machine in the mornings. It was €28 per person per night for the evening meal - limited choice.
If driving, the car park gets full at the weekend and the track down to the hotel is more of a rough track rather than road.
The area is quiet, the town of Cardedu was nice but very quiet. We didn’t eat other meals at the hotel so went looking for places to eat - Tortoli is great! Nice places to eat, nice shops, nice beaches near by.

Facility top - animation flop
The facility is very beautiful and well-maintained. The location is sensational. Unfortunately, the animation is abysmal, which is why it is very boring at the beach. The evening program is also miserable. In previous years, the animation was significantly better.

Excellent welcome from people in general
Food is quite good with excellent quality and well prepared
Rooms are la little far away from the only one small swimming pool
For the same price, others resort are much more well equiped
