Highly recommend this family run residence, thank you for the hospitality!
We recently stayed at Happy Days and found this family run residence to be extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our entire stay.
Peter and his family were on hand for anything we needed and any questions.
The location is good for exploring Capo Vaticano, with beautiful local beaches nearby which we reached by a short walk.
There is good WiFi throughout the apartments and the restaurant area.
We found a mini market a short walk from the residence, and a couple of lovely restaurants, I would recommend trying “i fichi d’india” which is also located a couple of buildings down from Happy Days.
The food at the Happy Days restaurant on site served a good choice of food including local pasta, pizza, fried seafood (fritto misto) and salads. There was plenty to drink at the bar for both adults and our children.
The train station of Ricadi is a 10 minute walk, around the corner too which we found was convenient for reaching Tropea for the day (a 10 minute train ride with tickets available to purchase at the station for a few € or online at Trenitalia).
The pool was stunning, and most importantly it was clean and extremely relaxing with a couple of showers and a clean toilet available.
I found the pool very tranquil with only a small number of families when we visited.
All in all a highly enjoyable vacation and would highly recommend Happy Days. Thank you so much to Peter and his family for the hospitality…We look forward to returning in the future!

Very bad
Apart from the discreet pool, I am not talking about the apartment (some sore notes)), questionable organization, I arrived after a long trip and I had to wait for the apartment an hour and a half by car (I had warned half an hour before arrival), I was immediately asked for the balance for the entire week , never happened personally, the sea say it is .900 meters away in fact is almost 2km, a Shuttle Service would be ideal.
Swimming pool and restaurant are all around the hotel, including a colony of cats (I am a convinced animal rights activist) for such an activity is not the best. Under the same conditions there is better in Calabria.

Nice apartment complex.
We were there for 14 days. Nice clean apartments with 2 bedrooms, small kitchen, bathroom and terrace. 1 bedroom is behind the kitchen and unfortunately has no window, only an opening in the wall up to the kitchen. That was not apparent in the description, but it was still ok.
1 point deduction for the unfortunately only very poor kitchen equipment, which was also partially broken, e.g. totally scratched Teflon pans. There was a lot missing and we had to buy something to be able to cook there to some extent. Instead of a proper coffee machine, there was only an espresso maker for the hotplate, but you get used to it. There was no toaster, ok bread can also be toasted in the pan - you just make compromises and becomes inventive :-) But as I said, the equipment of the kitchen is already in need of improvement.
Fast Wi-Fi in the apartment, at least with us upstairs. Downstairs it was slower, but also ok.
Air conditioning, fridge, gas stove worked perfectly. TV programs only Italian, but never mind.
The houses are pretty noisy, by the way. Oropax are appropriate when other guests make noise at night. Anyone who is sensitive should take earplugs.
The entire garden is very beautiful and original, lots of nature with lemons, oranges, grapefruit and mandarin trees. The pool is really great, very clean, with showers and toilet, umbrellas. On the loungers would not be bad, otherwise it becomes a bit uncomfortable if you lie on it for longer.
What else stood out: There were many mosquitoes! But it is a general problem and has nothing to do with the plant. Where there's a lot of nature are mosquitoes. It's just a pity that you couldn't sit on the beautiful terrace more often, the beasts were kind of there around the clock and stung us. Well, at least you know that there's no insect venom sprayed there, which I'd find worse.
I would book the facility again and also recommend it. Value for money is good. However, this time I would bring some kitchen utensils. Those who want to cook for themselves should do so.
Towels were changed on request.

Beautiful structure
Residence in a strategic position, clean and well structured 1.3 km from the Grotticelle beach (also within walking distance)
Spacious and well-organized apartments with air conditioning and TV.
Swimming pool with whirlpool perfectly maintained.
In the adjoining restaurant / pizzeria possibility to eat an excellent pizza cooked in a wood oven
