Great stop for walkers

Great stop along the Sentiero degli Acquedotti or along the Via Francigena variant, the B&B Art Gallery offers warm hospitality, in well-kept rooms and in a village context of maximum tranquility, a stone's throw from a delicious restaurant.

Unacceptable behavior in an emergency situation.

I cannot express a judgment on the structure itself, as I was unable to stay due to a force majeure situation: the fire on Monte Faeta (between Lucca and Pisa), which affected hundreds of hectares with evacuations in the surrounding areas, closure of main roads, and alerts from the Civil Protection, with official communications from the Mayor of Lucca and the competent authorities.
Despite all this — and despite being in my fifth month of pregnancy — the owner refused the free cancellation, offering as the only alternative the resale of the room. We were explicitly informed that, if we did not find another buyer, we would be charged in full.
We contacted the establishment several times, providing documentation, maps, and official communications from the authorities. The response remained the same.
This is not a preference or a change of mind: it was objectively impossible and dangerous to reach the destination. The road planned in our itinerary passed directly through the area affected by the emergency.
Such rigid — and in some ways intimidating — management in a situation like this reflects no sense of fairness or respect towards the customer. There is no trace of "hospitality" or welcome in this behavior.

Che dire, potrei fare copia incolla di quanto già pubblicato su Google in risposta alla sua identica recensione, e potrei aggiungere tanti particolari sulle sue "telefonate" ma invece mi limito a ricordarle che lei la cancellazione gratuita l'ha ottenuta, non ha speso un solo euro, la mia struttura era al completo e nessuno ospite si è lamentato, si vada a leggere le recensioni di booking di quella data, la sua camera (che le ho cancellato gratuitamente) l'ho rimessa in vendita e dopo poche ore una bella famiglia di origine brasiliana non solo è arrivata con ben due figlie, ma è stata talmente temeraria in questo scenario apocalittico (come l'ha descritto lei) che addirittura ha prolungato il soggiorno con una notte aggiuntiva. Quindi intanto la ringrazio di aver rinunciato al suo soggiorno perché mi ha consentito di guadagnare di più e come sempre le auguro buona vita e tanti auguri per la sua gravidanza. Grazie

An unconscious nightmare of criminals

We couldn't even stay, so I do not judge the structure itself, but the management of the fire emergency was something profoundly irresponsible.
In the midst of a fire emergency, with indications from Civil Protection urging caution and to avoid unnecessary movements towards the area, we were still encouraged to leave as if everything were normal. A very serious attitude. The news is full of tragedies that arise precisely from underestimating fires and environmental emergencies, and it is absurd to see a structure minimize such a situation just to avoid losing a reservation.
The most incredible part is that it would have taken just a little common sense and professionalism: simply suggesting to reschedule the reservation. That would have been the most normal, civil, and respectful solution towards customers who were just trying to follow public safety guidelines. Instead, they chose to make everything difficult, creating unnecessary discussions and placing the burden of a situation that certainly did not depend on the customer's will.
The cancellation only came after enormous effort and continuous insistence. The message was essentially this: "if the room is resold, then you will be refunded." Therefore, the risk had to remain entirely with the client, while the structure would still be financially protected in every scenario. An opportunistic and non-transparent attitude, documented in the conversations held.
In certain situations, the human and professional value of those managing a facility truly emerges: here we found superficiality, arrogance, and a total lack of responsibility in the face of a real emergency.
A terrible experience from every point of view. Absolutely not recommended.

Friendly service, but the value for money was disappointing.

Simple guesthouse with friendly service. Unfortunately, some amenities are missing, and for the price, the offering is somewhat overpriced. Cleanliness could also be improved. Still suitable for a short stay.
