Fantastic
It was an experience above expectations. A rare jewel immersed in nature and history.
We stayed in the Amethyst room at the Bed & Breakfast:
Antiche Pietre in Bollengo, and I can only dedicate my best words to this extraordinary property.
The B&B is cared for in the smallest details and offers ample common spaces managed magnificently: in addition to the four splendid rooms, guests have at their disposal two perfectly equipped kitchens that give the feeling of being in one's own home, as well as a comfortable and welcoming living room. The real strong point, however, is the exterior. The property is immersed in an immense 3-hectare park and boasts a breathtaking panoramic position that overlooks the Morainic amphitheater directly, offering unforgettable views and sunsets. Another strong point of the property was the breakfast "cared for in the smallest details by the owner Irina," rich and embellished with fresh fruit and exquisite jams produced directly on-site. The Amethyst room where we slept was the highlight of the stay; in addition to the comfort of the bed and the perfectly cared-for details, we were able to admire a stupendous sunset from the fantastic panoramic terrace. If you are looking for a place of peace, beauty, and authentic hospitality, Antiche Pietre is the perfect choice.
We will definitely return to this property. We recommend it.

An oasis of tranquility!

An enchanting and romantic setting
We loved this B&B. The welcome of the owners, the cleanliness of the place, Every detail is neat in the rooms and everything and thought for the comfort of the traveler.
Terrace, garden, parking available, breakfasts were excellent.
Very nice discovery, and if we go back to the region it is sure that we will not go back

touch the sky in Bollengo
love it. top view of the tiny town of Bollengo. keep calm and relax in antiche pietre. the road is already an adventure to reach the place just wait until you arrive at your destination. wish we could stay more and enjoy the terrace

Relax in a magical place (English and German)

Sometimes you ask yourself if you should even tell others about one of those rare marvelous spots – fearing that it might lose its magic. But I promised it to Irina and Alessandro, the two owners of this magic place: The B&B “Antiche Pietre” in Bollengo, Piedmont/Italy.
Irina and Alessandro are two wonderful hosts: warm-hearted , generous and always helpful. It is very pleasant to stay with them – and most of all you can really relax there very well, because the “Antiche Pietre” is a beautifully located place to stay. The peculiarity of it is not only its isolated, quiet location right on the ridge of the “piccola Serra”, directly situated behind the partly dilapidated Castello di Bollengo, but also the house itself. Set in the midst of Alessandro’s own vineyard, you live in his wonderful former family home with features the “breakfast kitchen” which you can use without bothering the owners, who live just across the yard in a separate building.
There are 3 bedrooms for rent inside – all very clean, quiet and furnished with taste. Two of them are smaller rooms with twin beds and one larger one with a king-size bed and a separate office corner with desk and chair. The latter room also features a private access door to the spacious roof-top terrace which can be used by all guests. Therefore the “Antiche Pietre” is also a top address for bigger families who want to book the whole place for a longer stay. All rooms have their own private bathrooms, which are nicely furnished and all cleaned daily. In general Irina is doing a great job in keeping the whole house clean and in perfect shape. As an additional service she changes your bedsheets every second day if you plan to stay longer.
On the spacious patio there is a stone barbecue you can use, grilling your food on a slate heated by firewood. The extraordinarily beautiful open-air eating place in the patio’s corner offers great views on Bollengo village down in the valley, on the majestic “Serra” right across, and the north-eastern mountain range of the “anfiteatro morenico di Ivrea” while enjoying Piemontese delicacies there on a sunny day.
Because my wife was born and raised in this beautiful region called “il Canavese”, I have come here at least once a year since 2002 riding my road bike in this fantastic, but touristically rather undiscovered spot in Piedmont. In doing so, I have stayed in many different places in this region, but since this summer, the “Antiche Pietre” is my absolute top choice of accommodation. That’s why I can strongly recommend it – hoping that its future guests will enjoy and help preserve its magic.

Manchmal fragt man sich, ob man einen tollen Geheimtipp überhaupt publik machen soll, aber ich habe es Irina und Alessandro, den beiden Inhabern des traumhaften B&B „Antiche Pietre“ in Bollengo, versprochen.
Irina und Alessandro sind zwei wunderbare Gastgeber: herzlich, großzügig und immer hilfsbereit. Es ist sehr angenehm bei ihnen zu wohnen und v.a. kann man sich dort sehr gut erholen, denn das „Antiche Pietre“ ist ein wunderschön gelegenes Bed & Breakfast. Das Besondere an ihm ist nicht nur die abgelegene, ruhige Lage direkt auf dem Kamm der „piccola Serra“ direkt hinter dem teilweise verfallenen Castello di Bollengo, sondern auch das Haus selbst. Inmitten von Alessandros hauseigenem Weinberg, lebt man in seinem wunderschönen, alten Elternhaus, das die „Frühstücksküche“ beinhaltet, die man benutzen kann, ohne die Inhaber zu stören, die in einem separaten Haus direkt gegenüber wohnen.
Im Haus gibt es drei geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, die sehr sauber und ruhig sind. Es gibt zwei kleinere Zimmer mit Doppelbett, sowie ein sehr großzügig geschnittenes Zimmer mit Doppelbett und eigenem Arbeitsplatz, das zusätzlich einen eigenen Zugang zu der von allen Gästen nutzbaren großräumigen Dachterrasse beinhaltet. Somit bietet es sich für größere Familien auch an, das gesamte B&B für einen längeren Aufenthalt zu buchen. Alle Zimmer haben ein schönes eigenes Badezimmer, das täglich geputzt wird. Irina hält im Übrigen das gesamte Haus sehr sauber und wechselt zusätzlich alle 2 Tage die Bettbezüge, wenn man einen längeren Aufenthalt geplant hat.
Auf dem großen Innenhof gibt es neben einem Grill (mit Schieferplatte und Feuerholz!) einen außergewöhnlich schönen Essplatz, der einen traumhaften Blick auf den Ort Bollengo im Tal, die gegenüberliegende Serra, sowie den nordöstlichen Zug des „anfiteatro morenico“ von Ivrea eröffnet, während man bei schönem Wetter piemontesische Leckereien verspeisen kann.
Da meine Frau aus dem Canavese stammt, fahre ich seit 2002 jedes Jahr in dieser wunderschönen und vom Tourismus kaum entdeckten Region im Piemont Rennrad. Hierzu habe ich schon an verschiedenen Orten gewohnt, aber das „Antiche Pietre“ ist seit diesem Jahr mein Favorit. Ich kann daher das „Antiche Pietre“ nur wärmstens empfehlen – in der Hoffnung, dass alle zukünftigen Gäste seine Magie nicht nur genießen, sondern auch bewahren helfen.
