Loved this hotel

Loved this hotel, we stopped off here for lunch on our way to Belmullet and we were so glad we did. Service was excellent and food was beautiful, good portions and a very friendly welcome. We said we would be back again next time we are in Mayo, its great to see a hotel with such a good welcome and fantastic food.

Excellent food and quality

We stopped here on our way to a wedding in Belmullet, what a wonderful hotel, excellent variety on menu the food was delicious , staff were extremely friendly and attentive, highly recommended this eatery

Served Rotten Meat!!

Myself and family went for lunch today. My husband went for the special of the day Turkey & Ham. It arrived and thankfully my husband checked for ham as we could only see the turkey and there is was pale in colour also white (ham is pink) however most disturbing lots of Green around it which is bacteria mould we took a picture and analysed it on ChatGPT and we told it was mould and bacteria on the ham how on earth can any chef professional or not? Serve this to anyone!! we are absolutely disgusted and sent it back out came another plate of meat this time the ham perfectly pink however the chef and professional again decided to putthe turkey that has already been on the bacteria and mould ham back on the fresh ham at this point, we gave it back and say wanted to leave!! absolutely disgusting. This place should be avoided at all costs if you value your health serving rotten meat!! the kitchen should actually be shut down for this. Does he follow no hygiene protocols at all? Only did he give us green meat? He don’tgive us meat that’s already been on top of the Green meat my mind is boggled that this man can be called a chef avoid it costs we will never set for in this place again and if you value your health nor should you.

Wonderful food with great service

Wonderful food reasonably priced. We had nothing planned and just walked in. It was extremely busy but service and food was terrific. Highly recommend

I had a genuinely lovely stay at the Gateway Hotel Swinford — relaxed, comfortable, and quietly well run. The rooms were quiet, well-appointed, and had everything one might need. The staff were wonderfully kind, the food was excellent, and everything just flowed effortlessly. I ended up really looking forward to the traditional full Irish breakfast each morning — simple things, perfectly done.
