Short break at Meadow Court Hotel

My husband and I spent a lovely few days in the Meadow Court . The location was perfect just twenty minutes from Galway city and so peaceful . The rooms were immaculate and spacious . The food was amazing and the staff were so friendly . The receptionist Paula gave us a very warm welcome and was so obliging . She made us feel at home immediately . Breakfast was wonderful and a great selection to choose from and dinner was delicious served in the bar by Mary . It was an enjoyable stay and we will be back .

Very average - not 4 stars!

Stayed for one night. The room was large but the beds looked like they were half made. No divan so the mattresses looked cheap. Very tired looking and not like the picture on the website. Breakfast wasn’t great. “Continental” breakfast was toast, boxes of rice crispies or cornflakes and a bowl of mandarin oranges that looked like the tinned version. Waited ages for a hot breakfast. Wouldn’t go back.

Pathetic Experience.

Do not stay here. We booked a room for two people and specifically required two separate beds. Instead, we were shown to a standard double. After complaining, they moved us to another room with a double bed and a sofa bed—which was completely unmade up and unprepared.There was no manager on site and absolutely no one available to properly deal with the issue. When we demanded the sofa bed be made up, the staff finally did it but offered the worst excuse imaginable: "You are the last to check in, sorry you cannot have what you booked. We have none left."To be told we cannot have the bed configuration we paid for simply because of our check-in time is completely unacceptable. This property claims to be a four-star hotel, but we received zero customer service at reception. We should have been proactively offered a partial refund or moved to a proper twin room.To make matters worse, the breakfast buffet was not as advertised, falling miles short of expectations. We filed a formal complaint about this entire ordeal and didn't even receive a response. They won't be keeping that four-star rating for long with this level of mismanagement. Avoid at all costs!

Very Unhappy

Well I always speak, and review, as I find, whether that be good or bad and I have to say that I won't be staying here again. This is something of a pity as I have used this hotel happily for both business and leisure purposes for decades, in fact from not long after accommodation became available at this location. No matter how well or otherwise an establishment has performed in the past you have to base your opinion/review on your last visit as that represents the current state of play. As the paying customer I will not be treated in the way that I was treated so I won't be staying here again, especially as there are numerous other hotels within half an hours drive of this location where you are welcomed and treated like a human being.
