Lovely hotel with the most friendly staff ever
The staff couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. From reception, the restaurant, housekeeping and the night reception men everyone was so lovely and polite and couldn’t have done enough for us as a family.
We stayed in a family room on the 3rd floor and it was huge! It had a separate bedroom for parents and a big open room with a double and single beds for the kids. It was spotless clean too. The whole hotel was spotless the housekeeping staff do an amazing job.
We had breakfast in the restaurant each morning and it was lovely!
We stayed for a family wedding that was in another hotel nearby and for day 2 in Killarney town and it was so easy to get around. The hotel is close to everything! And the atmosphere was amazing! We will definitely be back for another stay.

A bleak and somewhat outdated hotel
When we arrived in Killarney, we passed many other hotels. The hotel seemed but bleak compared to the other hotels.
We were kindly received, but we had the impression that there was insufficient capacity for the size of the hotel. For both breakfast and pool we had to inform in advance when we would like to use it.
At the breakfast buffet it was indeed often too busy to scoop up comfortable food. The pool did not come off because of our busy daily schedule.
I had heard before booking that many rooms would have been recently renovated. We did not have the impression that we had a renovated room. The furniture looked old-fashioned and the windows could be cleaned.
The first evening we had dinner in the restaurant. The food was fine but the restaurant looked rather dark and uncozy.

We are sorry our hotel did not match your expectations. The hotel was operating at full capacity throughout your stay in high season. Reserving a breakfast time and pool time enables our team to facilitate guests. The majority of our bedrooms have been refurbished and we plan to continue the next phase in the fall.
Best wishes,
