Stayed an extra night!

We booked for 3 nights but ended up staying 4 as we liked the place so much. We arrived at 6am from a night bus and the tuk tuk driver struggled to find it in the dark, the signs aren’t prominent. The owner and his wife were up and welcomed us,though neither speak any English. (Their son speaks more) We were very grateful to be allowed to check in early- luckily for us, as with most places in Udaipur when we stayed, the hotel didn’t seem busy. Our room was one of the largest we stayed in on our trip and had a large balcony overlooking the street. It had a huge, very comfy bed and was clean. The bathroom had a powerful hot shower. The room had ac and fan though we didn’t need them as the climate was pleasantly cool. Location was good, 2 mins walk to the pedestrian bridge over the lake and the centre of the old town. There is a rooftop restaurant where we had a nice breakfast on a couple of days- seems to be separate to the hotel and prices were on the high side. Only a few small negatives which pushed a rating of 5 to 4.5. Some noise- the hotel is close to the Hanuman temple so you get drumming and chanting early on a morning though you get used to this! Also some slight noise from the street that is to be expected in India. Some of the bathroom towels could be replaced though we also had some which were new and good quality. We paid around 2000r per night which was probably about right for the quality of room. Would definitely use again and recommend as a good budget option.

Great value stay in Udaipur

Good guesthouse experience just outside centre of town. Lovely family running it who were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are large and I had a great view from my room. My friend was in the room below with a slightly less good view because of trees, but still a balcony. The roof terrace is nice and they cook meals to order up there. Try their cold coffees - amazing!
Two things bothered me - as other reviewers have commented I had a line of ants running across my bed. I asked for an extra sheet from the owners as they had forgotten to put one on my bed and they did provide that. Also it didn’t appear they had cleaned the bathroom since the previous guests.
Family arranged a taxi to the airport for us and even took us to the meeting point, one by one, on the back of his motorbike. (Be prepared for that!).
Would stay again given how much we paid. It was a bargain and just needed them to check the room before giving me the keys!

Excellent Pension and Restaurant

Very welcome from the family that runs this guest house. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The one on the top floor with balcony has a great view. The restaurant's dishes are really delicious. We strongly advise. Very good value for money.

accommodation in udajpur

Very good place in the city center with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lake and the countryside. The host is happy to help, he makes delicious homemade breakfasts himself. Rooms spacious and clean. I would recommend.

Great place! Great location

The room is very spacious, clean, has everything you need. I visited while in the night was quite cold and I enjoyed very much the electic heater provided (also the hot water!)! The manager is super friendly, professional and helpful! The location is also great, just 5 min walk from the old side if the town where all the major attractions are...superb lake view (also from the rooftop terrace they have)
