A cozy hotel in Srinagar

Don't get scammed !!
I wanted to have a cup of tea in their own garden, but the staff told us you are not allowed. The buffet is so small and items are very limited, if you want anything as simple as coffee it is chargeable. They won't give you anything that is not a part of buffet.
The service of the Restraunts is also very bad, I ordered pizza but I have to wait for like 30-35 mins and after that they started arguing that sir you have to wait Or else you can leave.
They are scammers, they will tell you to book through their travel agency (Ambel Travels) for cheaper rates, but dont fall in their trap. They will give you cheaper travel package, but the facilities with the package are not to the point. Everything they are promising is a scam. It is different from what you are expecting. So beware of the scam.
Don't recommend it to anyone, book at your own risk.

My stay at The Orchard Retreat & Spa, Srinagar
A special mention for Mr. Javed and Mr. Anis from the restaurant team. Their hospitality was exceptional. They were always polite, humble, and eager to help. Even beyond regular hours, they were willing to prepare food for us with a smile, which reflects their dedication and commitment to guest satisfaction. Their warm and caring attitude made us feel genuinely welcomed.
The entire staff was courteous, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. I highly recommend Orchard Resort to anyone visiting Srinagar and look forward to staying here again in the future.

A calm, family-friendly escape in Srinagar
The ambience is the standout — quiet, green, and well laid out, with that resort-like feel that lets you actually unwind. The accommodation is cottage-style rather than a typical hotel block, which adds a lot to the experience: more privacy, more character, and a nice connection to the outdoors. On the amenities side, the property does more than tick boxes — the gym is well-equipped, the swimming pool is clean and inviting, and the games room was a real hit with the family. Easy to spend a relaxed half-day on the property itself without feeling restless.
A solid recommendation if you want a calm, family-friendly base in Srinagar. We'd come back again on our next Kashmir trip.

Disappointing Service Despite Beautiful Property
The rooms were big and comfortable, and the garden was honestly the best part of the place, very beautiful and peaceful.
However, the service was quite disappointing. It was slow and not very responsive, and we had to follow up multiple times for simple requests, which was frustrating.
Another issue is the location. The hotel is quite far from the main city, and the approach road is very narrow, making it a bit inconvenient to reach, especially if you’re visiting for the first time.
Also, while the property promotes itself as a 5-star hotel, it really doesn’t feel like one in terms of service and overall experience.
The place has potential, but they seriously need to improve their service and overall standards.
