A Hidden Gem for a Calm Retreat
Everything is beautifully maintained and well taken care of—it really made our experience special. You’ll definitely be getting a lot of calls from my reference soon, as my family and colleagues from American Express are already planning to visit with their loved ones.

Nayar Valley Retreat in Lansdowne is a textbook example of how not to run a hospitality business.
OWNERS DO NOT BELONG TO THIS PLACE - THEY LIVE ABROAD. ONLY ONE MAN MANAGING THE PROPERTY - FOOD, LUGGAGE, ROOMS, HOUSEKEEPING - EVERYTHING - ONE MAN STAFF.
Accommodation
Rooms were unhygienic, poorly maintained, and smelled damp.
Bedding was stained, and basic amenities like clean towels or toiletries were either missing or substandard. No proper ventilation or upkeep, making the stay uncomfortable. NO PROPER ELECTRICITY, ITS LIKE A JAIL, BECAUSE ONE CANNOT GO ANYWHERE.
Service
Staff displayed indifference and lack of professionalism. Requests were ignored or delayed, with no courtesy or accountability. Zero sense of hospitality — guests are treated more like a burden than valued visitors. NO INTERNET WIFI, NO NETWORK FOR ALL AIRTEL, Vi, JIO, ETC USERS. PARKKING IS 2 KMS AWAY, THAT TOO NOT RESORT PARKING, BUT SOMEONE LOCAL'S HOME PRIVATE PARKING - THEY TAKE EXTRA MONEY WHEN YOU LEAVE, I PAID 200 RUPEES FOR PARKING.
Food
Meals were bland, cold, and unhygienic. Menu options were extremely limited, with no effort to accommodate dietary needs.
Dining area lacked cleanliness, making the experience unpleasant. TOO MUCH EXPENSIVE - MAGGIE - 250 RUPEES.
Facilities
Advertised amenities were either non‑functional or falsely promoted. No proper recreational facilities, and the property felt neglected. Safety standards were questionable, with broken fixtures and poorly lit pathways. NO WALKING WAY TO THE RESPORT, TRECKING OF MORE THAN 900 METERS, WITH NO PROPER ROAD TO WALK.
Value for Money
Overpriced for the quality provided. Not worth even a fraction of the tariff charged. Guests leave feeling cheated rather than relaxed. INSECTS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. NO PROPER MAINTANENCE OF GREEN AREAS, NO GARDERER, THE WEEDS ARE SO BIG, YOU CANNOT WALK, WITH FULL OF DANGEROUS INSECTS.
Final Verdict:
Nayar Valley Retreat in Lansdowne is a textbook example of how not to run a hospitality business. From filthy rooms to apathetic staff and terrible food, every aspect screams negligence. Strongly advise avoiding this property altogether — there are far better options in Lansdowne that actually care about guest experience. THEY LIED, FAKE NAMES, FALSE PROMISES, THIS IS NOT EVEN LANSDOWNE, THEY USE THE NAME, MAIN LANSDOWNE IS 40 KMS FAR AND THERE ARE NO PROPER ROADS CONNECTING THIS POOR-SAD RESORT.

Terrible experience
1- No Car parking in campus or near the campus, you have to park your car another place then you have to walk approx 1 KM to reach resort.
2- Food Quality is poor but costly.
3- Room Service is also poor, no cleaning in room and campus. One more group stayed there they drink alcohol vomit in front of tent but no cleaning perform.
4- No reception, no management.
