Total R and R with temple visits as well

Large rooms, free mini bar, amazing food buffet style, beautifully maintained gardens and a 9 hole golf course , bird watching walkways, cycle and kayak rides! Total value for money luxury resort. And for our rotary club long weekend getaway from chennai was perfect with a one hr direct flight…

A massive disappointment masquerading as a luxury retreat

Having traveled extensively across the globe, this easily ranks among the worst hospitality experiences we have ever encountered.
A 300+ km journey to Shimoga sets high expectations for a premium resort stay, but the reality was unacceptable:
Property Upkeep & Maintenance: The property shows clear signs of neglect. Torn, worn-out, dirty furniture, peeling wall paint, and rundown structures dominate the premises. Calling this a luxury facility is an overstatement.
Extremely limited EV Infrastructure: The resort markets itself as EV-friendly, yet there were no operational charging stations on-site. Stranding long-distance travelers without charging facilities after a day of driving is irresponsible and unacceptable. After repeated complaints and follow ups, the single and only Rebolt charging station was fixed and we only got to use it the subsequent day.
Service & Front Desk: Clueless, disorganized, and completely indifferent. Basic hospitality requests—such as simple car cleaning after a long highway trip—are agreed to, promptly forgotten, and ignored. The front desk lacks professional management.
The Only Silver Linings: The landscaping is reasonably maintained, and the kitchen serves flavorful food.
Good food and green lawns do not offset broken infrastructure, neglected rooms, and a total absence of customer service. Avoid until management undertakes an overhaul of both the physical property and staff training.

Very bad staff

Extremely disappointing experience. While the property itself is decent, the staff completely ruined the stay. The front desk team (especially Mr.vikas) was shockingly rude, unprofessional, and highly uncooperative. They were not only dismissive but also provided misleading and incorrect information, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. Basic courtesy and respect were clearly lacking. It’s unacceptable for any hotel to have such poorly trained and disrespectful staff. Management needs to take this seriously and make immediate improvements, otherwise the overall experience will continue to suffer.

Splendid short vacay at Kimmane

I had an amazing stay at Kimmane Golf Resort, Shimoga. I was upgraded to Suite-A, the best room in the resort with beautiful views of the pool and golf course. The food was exceptional—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious and well-prepared. The resort offers plenty of activities like golfing, kayaking, bird watching, nature walks, swimming, and indoor/outdoor games, ensuring there’s always something to do. A nice touch was the separate accommodation and meals provided for drivers, reflecting their thoughtful hospitality. Overall, a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and recreation—I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

Excellent resort, great food, family friendly!

Absolutely incredible experience! No complains whatsoever. Food was amazing, rooms were spacious and the entire resort itself is beautiful. Good amount of kids activities and also some nice things to do within a 15-20 min drive like the zoo. The golf course is also good, but some of the fair ways and greens can be better. Highly recommend the resort, great for a 2-3 day visit!
