Lovely stay!

I had three night staying at Big Tree Cottages. Diya looked after me very well as did the rest of the team. I was so impressed with the food and feel of the place. Not a flash resort and they know all the contacts for diving, conservation and the local area. If you want to use wind I can not recommend this highly enough.

Unique stay and experience

Located in a unique part of the world, this unusual property offers an experience you wont forget. Access to world class diving at their own dive school a few minutes away, lush forests with their own swimming pond, organic vegetable gardens, super wholesome food and the warmth and hospitality of a home. Highly recommended as a base for the Andamans

The best place to stay in Andamans

A nature paradise in Chidiya Tapu app 25 kms from Port Blair with the sea just a walk away. Diya and her team are helpful and she personally takes care of the food . Do not miss out on her daily specials.
Even if you are intending to visit Port Blair and if you can ride a bike you should stay at Big Tree Chidiya Tapu.
I rented a bike straight from the airport and if you have excess luggage you can always put it on a Auto. The ride is through the forests and by the sea.
To do the touristy things the ride back to Port Blair is worth it and plus you get to stay at Chidiya Tapu which is best if you intend doing Scuba Snorkelling etc .

Lush relaxing resort

This is our second visit to big tree. The first time was 5 years ago when everything was new and this resort has grown in the nurturing hands of Diya and Rajendra. The resort is well looked after with flourishing plants and wild life and the food is extremely delicious and nourishing. The menu has been thoughtfully curated and food is produced and sourced locally. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Chidiya Tapu,Port Blair. There are lots of fun engaging things to do for the adventure seekers and still very much off the grid for people to sink into their books. Thank you so much for our great stay Diya and Rajendra! Looking forward to the next one!

Great Place Great Food

When my wife and I arrived at Big Tree Cottages we were met by the manager Dee and her partner Raj. From that time until our departure we felt at home. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and the food was Amazing . Diya went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met . I would highly recommend Big Tree Cottages if you plan on visiting Port Blair.
