Home away from home

We loved it here at Katie's Abode!
From the moment we stepped in we felt at home.
The house staff Amit and Joshi Ji at this homestay were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast, lunch as well as dunner and loved the sitouts.
Hartola is a heaven for those who wish to connect with nature.
Our hosts Mrs. Deepa and Mr. Dhruv are the best and they made us feel very comfortable throughout the stat

Great stay at Katie's Abode, Hartola

It was a wonderful stay over a 3 day period. The room allocated to us, a family of 3, was more than spacious, everything was crispy clean, warm and well appointed interiors. The room had a good view of the valley and the far snow capped mountains.
Deepa & Dhurba were fantastic hosts with many stories, pampered our daughter to our delight. Late evenings were well spent with the hosts and we had great fun. Amit and Joshi ji were wonderful caretakers and great culinary skills, we were well taken care of, to say the least. We were totally humbled by the experience and would recommend everyone visiting Hartola to consider stay at Katie's Abode.

Pocket-friendly luxurious stay

Let me start my review by saying that staying in Katie's Abode is like a luxurious hotel without burning a hole in your pocket. Add to it the beautiful outdoors, the tranquil location and the fact that it is pet-friendly.
We stayed with my parents and brother's family during the August 15 long weekend. Everything was lush green and the occasional rain added to the romanticism of the place.
The rooms were big and the common areas were big enough for all 8 of us to share a few moments of joy. Thanks Dhruv and Deepa for your hospitality.

Cold outside, but we hardly felt it

We were a group of 12 extended family members that visited Katie's Abode in November. It was definitely cold outside with temperatures dropping to 1 degrees the both night we stayed. But the hosts had the fireplace which was our evening place to sit and gossip around the fire. During the day the sun was warm as were the rooms. The best part was the king size fold out bed in the family room that accommodated our extra family members. Food was delicious and tasty. Special mention to the clear blue skies, fresh air. Felt pampered for sure!

Great place for a solo traveler like me

Firstly, Dhruv and Deepa, thank you for sharing your place with me. Secondly, a big thank you to the caretakers who had maintained the place absolutely spotless. The food was great and the view from the sitout was to die for. The room was big, clean and so was the linen. The living room and dinning area was very cozy. Hope to visit again someday. Must mention the sitout near the sitting room where you can soak in the sun.
