Good hotel

Good Hotel. Location is good off the Old Mumbai Pune Highway. Rooms r spacious, clean. Room 203 has backside view. Only regret was absence of Coffee Maker n Refrigerator in d room. Wi-Fi is not available in the rooms . Food is expensive. Did not ordered food during d stay. Only ordered Tea. Service is equally good.
Swimming pool is small but okish. Did not use Indoor games although saw Table Tennis. Ample parking space. Overall good.

Theft by hotel staff

"Theft Alert." At around 2:00 am, we saw the window of our room was wide open and when we turned on the light, we saw some people running and two of our purses and a smart watch were missing, which were placed on the table next to the window . They used a rod which was made in such a way that they could pick stuff up. The rod and our purses were left near the window, removing just the cash, which was around Rs. 8000. When the cops were called, the manager in front of the cop tried to blame us, and the cops were taking absolutely no action and seemed familiar with the hotel staff. When asked about our security, they said we are not responsible for it and you may leave if you don't feel safe. We were left helpless and had to leave the place at midnight at around 3:00am . The next morning, when we contacted the owner of the hotel, he assured us that he would look into this matter and refund our loss, but later denied it and said do whatever you can.
**So please do not visit this place with your family. They will rob you and leave you helpless**

Theft by manager and housekeeping from room window.

Very horrible experience as the theft happen from the window in midnight at 2 am. Housekeeping and manger was involve in that as they open the window and with the help of rode they toke 2 purse from table and remove 8000 rupees from it and after we get to know someone is there near window they both ran away and throw purse near window. When we called police they have not accepted it in front of them and afterwards we came to know that police constable was also familiar with them and police were very casual and not taken and action against them. When we inform to the owner of Sunny Retreat first he told we are taking responsibility of it and refund the amount but after sometime the owner itself denied it and told us u do whatever you want. So guys please take a note that don't ever book room in these hotel as staff is very careless and are not taking responsibilities they are robbers and will stole things from room cctv is also not working.

Security Risk

A VERY IMPORTANT SECURITY RISK
We came to this location Sunny Retreat on August 21, 2022.
The hotel housekeeping staff picked up the bags off the table at 2:00 a.m midnight from the window with help of a stick. that contained cards, cash (roughly Rs. 8000), a smartwatch, and eyeglasses. The man fled with the money and put the rest of the items next to the window at the same moment that my sister heard something and woke up. The manager, security guard, and housekeeping continue to place the blame on us despite the occurrence. When the Lonavala City Police arrived, they were already familiar with the staff and instead of doing a review, they just told that it's not possible and when we ask about our security they said we will not be responsible and told us to leave if we feel insecure.
The Owner Sunny Wadhwani when we inform him on next morning said we will enquire and take necessary action and compensate our loss but then denied to do anything and said do as you wish.

Nice stay

Hotel is very clean and hygienic
Service is good on time. Location is very nice nearby market
Only food is expensive inside the hotel rest everything is perfect
We had a very good and comfortable stay.
