Clean, Comfortable & Great Location

The room was very clean and well maintained. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room cool and comfortable, especially during the hot weather. The location is excellent, being very close to Madan Mahal Railway Station, which made traveling convenient. In addition, the accommodation felt very safe and secure, making my stay even more comfortable. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would definitely recommend this place.

More than a homestay. Stay here for Kshitij's Hospitality!

To be honest, I was skeptical to take a Homestay, because Jabalpur is a small town. But the reviews on multiple platforms were convincing enough to give the place a chance. With some contemplation, I booked a cancellable room and left it to be reviewed later.
About a month to the stay, we contacted Mr Kshitij Jaiswal if he could accommodate an early check in request since our train was reaching early. He promptly agreed. The voice tone was enthusiastic and we knew that we are going to be in a great company. A day to the stay, he sent us food menu as well as list of sightseeing packages in his Ford Figo hatchback car. He offered free pickup from Madan Mahal station, if we took one of the packages.
On the day of our arrival, our train kept getting late and we eventually reached there a good six hours later than the scheduled time. Kshitij was constantly communicating with us. Even though we didn’t confirm any sightseeing package, he offered to pick us from the station. He told us that we must be already tired from the long journey, so he would come pick us up. It was indeed very nice of him and he didn't have to do it at all. When we came out of the station, he and his sparkling clean Figo were waiting for us. His place is less than ten minutes from the station and the location is fantastic, with a quiet neighbourhood and still close enough to market and important sightseeing areas.
He helped us carry our luggage to the first floor room. He showed us around his property of three rooms that he offers to his guests. Our room was big enough to accommodate a king-size bed and a single bed, a large wardrobe, a table-chair in the corner and still have a lot of space left in the room. The room was air-conditioned, had a fan, Jio-Fibre TV (with Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime et al and live channels through Jio platforms). Tea / coffee making kit with a kettle to boil water was provided.
The mattresses are hotel-grade, about 10 inch height and are very comfortable. The pillows offered are high enough for comfortable side-sleeping and low enough for flat sleeping. We were two adults and two kids (aged eleven and five) - we all slept very well. Everything in the room was absolutely clean. Bathroom is big and clean, like everything else. White clean towels, a toothpaste and two toothbrushes were provided. Solar-powered hot water runs through the day.
There is an adjacent common self-served kitchen to cook food, if need be. Some basic ingredients are there and one can cook stuff like Maggie or make tea etc. Three bottles of packaged drinking water were provided and there is a provision of water filter in kitchen for additional water, if needed. There is also a washing machine in the balcony, if one wishes to do the laundry. Coming to balcony, there is a pretty big common one with a few plants. There is also a common area with sofa, dining table and an area to iron your clothes. Essentially someone can pretty much live here, like their own home.
He does provide some paid food options off his kitchen downstairs, however, doesn’t pushes you to opt for any. In fact, he encourages you to walk to the nearby Indian Coffee House outlet for your food and beverages. We went there twice and the ambience, food quality / taste and staff behaviour was top-notch for a small town like Jabalpur.
We took Kshitij’s cab package for going to Bhedaghat and he took us around with passion. He knows Jabalpur very well and while his recommendations of the places are worth following, you can ask him where to eat, where to buy what and stuff. We went around the Fuhara market and bought some winter stuff from the shop he recommended and we couldn’t be happier.
To sum it up, we got a fantastic place to rest and superb hospitality from Kshitij. We will come back to Jabalpur again and will stay at Jaiswal Homestay. The place is very highly recommended. Only caveat I would put is, and I'm sure you would not expect also, don't expect luxury here. As long as your expectations are reasonable, Kshitij and his homestay is going to wow you!
Thank you, Kshitij!

Beautiful homestay property

We recently travelled to Jabalpur as a group of families and stayed on a beautiful homestay property. The owner of this property was incredibly supportive, cooperative, and humble. The service was excellent. During our stay, the room service was extremely attentive to all our needs. Although we only stayed for a day, our experience was amazing. We strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jabalpur.

Excellent Place; Warm Host. Very High Value-For-Money

To be very honest, when we first saw the place, we were almost disappointed. And were very skeptical whether we have reached the correct place, the nameplate notwithstanding.. Nevertheless, we were put at ease by the warm welcome awarded by Shitij and his cute little chubby nephew.
About the place first. The rooms are large, with large beds, and wardrobes. The common area (hall, if you wish to call it that) is quite big. The bathrooms too are bright and clean – as were the towels. The linen was fresh. The air-conditioning in the rooms was very effective, even when the temperature outside crossed 40 degrees C! The kitchen is minimalistic, yet functional – but no gas, so cant use it for cooking (we didn’t need to, anyways). An operational washing machine is a plus!! The balcony is a great place to conversation in the late evening.. The fact that this place runs on solar-powered electricity will highly assuage the green enthusiast and eco-conscious traveler.
Now for the softer and more important part of the place.
The vibes of this place were very positive. Found it spacious. 8 of us stayed here and yet not for a second we felt uncomfortable on any count whatsoever.
It is rather conveniently located (walking distance) in terms of access to stores/eateries. Which, to us, with four children with varying needs, was extremely beneficial.
The host was very polite at all times and extremely helpful to us. He was always available whenever needed, including quite late in the evening. He was gracious enough to guide and help us in arranging for all the other stuff – taxis/ places to see/ places to visit/ restaurants to eat from, etc.
Having stayed in multiple B&Bs over the last 5-6 years, am impressed with what this option offers. Overall, apart from a very good stay here, will rate this place a very high value for the money we spent.
