Worst hotel we ever stayed
We arrived at hotel at 9PM and were allocated a room. The room had one bed (Queen Size) and one centre table with one chair. The centre table was covered with full of dust and the bed sheet on bed was having multiple yellow marks which looked not at all clear. The room had mosquitoes and bugs on the floor. We asked for room service. One guy came and cleaned the centre table and left. Now the problems I faced are below:
1. They asked for ID proof and when we provided them they asked us to print it from outside as there printer was not working. We were too tired and new to Gwalior and was it our task to take print. We requested them multiple times and also argued and then after almost 30 min they provided us the room .
2. We asked for an extra bed for the third adult. They said they provide mattress and not bed. We said okay considering its only a night. Then they said we had to pay Rs.1000/- for that extra mattress. We said we already paid for 3 adults in a single room. So why we have to pay extra. It was 11 PM and we were too tired to fight. The OWNER of the hotel was horribly bad and were continuously shouting. Then we called OYO customer care and complained. After conversation with OYO, they agreed to give one mattress. And in the name of mattress, what they gave was a thin foam sheet in a cold night in Gwalior. Moreover the owner really shouted on us saying that he does not know OYO or Goibibo and as we paid to Goibibo so ask Goibibo to give us mattress, Yes we also shouted back but only when he was shouting to us but OYO customer care was asking us why we shouted. Can any one keep cool in this situation but still we only requested and only shouted when the owner started shouting at us.
2. Next we also complained about the mosquitoes and bugs in the room. The OYO representative also assured us that we would be given some "All-OUT" but the hotelier again said that they don't have any with them and they can't give us. Entire night we had multiple mosquito bites and could hardly sleep even being so tired after the drive from Delhi to Gwalior.
3. Next morning, when we asked for breakfast and tea/coffee, they said for tea/coffee we had to pay extra. I have no idea in any indian hotel if breakfast can be done without tea/coffee.
4. In breakfast we didn't have any choice of items. They would give breakfast according to their choice. We accepted. To our surprise, the quantity given was of a baby. That too initially they only brought two plates. Then again after clarifying that we have paid for three, they brought another.
5. Then at the time of checkout, we asked for the bill of the last night's dinner. The menu book had clear mention of 20% discount on all food items. At the time of billing, they denied for any discount. They said those offers were for Diwali only and they had no staff to remove that offer from the menu card. Can you imagine how funny it is that a printed offer removal needed one extra staff ???!!!!
