Best place to be in AGATTI
Stayed at Mantalia Stays in Agatti and it genuinely felt like home away from home. Met some amazing people, made new friends, had the best island days, and even painted the first graffiti piece in Lakshadweep there ️

Home away from Home!
I travelled to Agatti solo, seeking peace, silence, and space to meditate. Mantalia offered me exactly that.
Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood on the western coast of the island, it is one of the finest places I have stayed in for a very long time - perfect for a solo getaway. The room I stayed in overlooked the turquoise lagoon, with the sea breeze constantly flowing through.
The hospitality extended by the owners was exceptional. Aqmar and Aqsa planned everything meticulously well in advance, Samad Uncle was always there whenever I needed support, Shakir served every meal and cup of tea with a warm smile, and Jasmine ensured the place remained spotless throughout my stay. Every meal was lovingly home-cooked by the wonderful women of the island and served with genuine warmth.
Akku and Ijaz helped me plan each day, weaving together scuba diving, snorkelling, and boat rides at just the right pace, and stop for occasional tea and chatter. The dining room was always neat, welcoming, and open, allowing me to spend long hours writing and painting in complete peace.
Mantalia truly felt like home in the middle of the sea, far away from home.
This one week will be remembered not only for the unforgettable experiences of scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming, and boating, but even more for the extraordinary hospitality, kindness, and care shown by everyone at Mantalia.
Don’t forget to pick some amazing pickles and curios from Mantalia shop situated on the ground floor!!!
