A fantastic suite in a romantic old style hotel at the edge of Old Town - but let down a bit by the poor breakfast
It's probably unfair to rate Domus since we were given a suite - and we presumed some of the rooms were smaller. But what we had was jaw-droopingly large. A large entry foyer had the clothes cabinets. Which then led to another foyer - on the left was the T&B door, right in front was the door to the bedroom, then to the right was the open living room - and was it huge! The ceiling is high - which was nice.
One half wall of the living area was the 'kitchen', with sink, bread basket, coffee maker, hot water kettle, stove, microwave, range hood, and cabinets for various dinner ware, glasses, cutlery etc. Five feet away from it was a dining table with four chairs. Then another five feet away was the work desk, above which hung a huge floor lamp. Then a bit separate from these was the sofa with a coffee table in front of it and there was a circular carpet in front of the sofa. A smallish (compared to the room) TV screen sat at the other end of the sofa (easily 12 feet away). The floor was all wood planks.
There were enough accent lights, wall switches, and electrical plugs to suit our needs. The ac panels in both rooms controlled their own split type units. There were many windows in the living room and bedroom, all with their own sheer and blackout curtains. And the windows all had views of the pedestrianized streets below. All the walls were in ivory white, with two frames and a couple of sculpture pieces. What an impressive room.
BUT - breakfast has to be rated - poor. No sugar or salt on the table, you had to go to a single set of salt & pepper shaker, and a sugar dispenser; the juices were not fresh and very diluted; you picked up your own utensils and napkins; no hot milk, only cold, available for coffee; no sliced fruits; the sausages had skin that you couldn't digest (plastic?) so you had to squeeze out the insides - in other words, just very basic stuff. This is where Domus Collis fails.

Impeccable value for this level of service and decadence
The staff have been impeccable and couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating.
I had a horrific journey here from the uk - missed my original flights then rebooked a new flight with 2 stop overs totalling 36 hours door to door but they were so welcoming and seemed genuinely concerned after such an ordeal.
I used their laundry service which has been great. Their breakfast buffet is more catered to the German crowd which is a much larger majority of their clientele which is fine of course and all great options available.
I originally booked this to go to Budapest for the champions league final but now I want to come back just for Győr and this hotel
