Comfort and excellent service

This is a traditional hotel with surprisingly good accommodation and an excellent restaurant. We stayed four nights, had the family apartment, large bedroom with a very comfortable bed (good firm mattress) and a large living room. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel, excellent food and very good service. The buffet breakfast offers a good selection of cold cuts, cheese and egg dishes, dinner is a la carte. All the dishes were very good, the chestnut puree is the best I have ever had.

Wonderful feel-good hotel with fantastic food

Stayed for 6 days in this beautiful feel-good hotel with our doggy.
Parking is free of charge and ample space is available right after the entrance.
Next to the reception and restaurant is a cute little square with lots of flowers and signposts, which you can always see when sitting outside eating. There are plenty of seats along the hotel walls and we had our regular seats at the back because of the dog who waited well under the table hoping for some appetizers.
The staff there were all great and super friendly and the map is just great. We always ordered something different, so 12 different dishes in total, and all tasted great at reasonable prices. I'll upload some dishes as photos.
The room was a bit small but very well equipped, only we found the voices sometimes a bit annoying when talking on the phone or sitting together on the terrace below us, but at night to sleep it was always quiet. The beds were very comfortable.
Behind the pool is a meadow with adjacent trees and a small pond with plenty of water lilies. We pulled our loungers away from the pool to the meadow because of the dog and he liked it here so much that he also wanted to have his own lounger.
You can make nice trips to the neighboring towns, have discovered a lot of sweets with nice old atmosphere including knight games.
We would like to thank you for the nice stay, we enjoyed every minute and can recommend the accommodation for a relaxing holiday with a clear conscience.

Home cooking

The food is good, home-style and always very good. Hungarian and Austrian dishes are served. The service is very attentive and speaks Hungarian and German. In summer you can sit outside in a beautiful garden with old trees.

The best hotel I ever had in Hungary

Friendly staff who also speak German and English. Nice spacious and clean rooms, fully equipped. Good restaurant, normally open all day, with a wide choice. Good food for reasonable prices. Very cheap by Dutch standards.
Generous parking spaces on site.

Quiet, homely and good food

Two nights were spent here on business whilst working in nearby Buk (10 minute drive). Flying from Heathrow - Vienna or Stansted-Bratislava the drive to Buk, Hungary is approx 2 hours from either airport. The hotel was set off the main road in a quiet and calm location and set in some beautiful grounds. Reception upon arrival was friendly and welcoming despite the language barriers - somehow we got by using little German! The room was clean, modern and spacious. Free WiFi available throughout the hotel always a bonus. The restaurant onsite was charming with character with traditional Hungarian dishes, the food was very good and reasonably priced. Didn't have chance to check out the sauna or spa facilities, overall a good hotel and excellent value for money. If you're looking for a quiet nights sleep and a country retreat would recommend this hotel, however if you want a selection of swimming pools and spa facilities try hotels in nearby Buk.
